Ghanaian striker Rahim Osumanu scored his second goal in three days to give his club ‘Mighty’ Mufulira Wanderers a 1 – 0 win over Forest Rangers at Shinde Stadium.
The lone goal of the match came in the 27th minute and the Mufulira side managed to hold on to the lead till the end with backing from the partisan crowd.
This was Osumanu’s third goal in the league after he scored against Zesco on Tuesday and Lumwana Radiants earlier in the season.
Wanderers, fresh from picking a point off champions Zesco United on Tuesday moved up two places up into 10th position on the log. Forest remain static in 7th position.
The former champions will be looking for stability going into the second half of the season after they appointed controversial Portuguese coach Paulo Silva who was fired by Dynamos of Zimbabwe three months into a three year contract amidst controversy on his qualifications.
Silva Said after the natch –
“It is not my victory but it is one for the team. I have been here three weeks and I feel great with this win because we worked hard for it,” he told Fazfootball.
Wanderers next game is against Nkwazi in Lusaka.

Zamfoot can you elaborate on the controversy about Silva’s qualifications. Anyone with a song by Ba Wile ft Jk Ngamwapakama, please whatsapp it to me on: +27 62 913 6079.
This Rahim looks like Kenneth Bubble Malitoli, am sure he will cause a few problems to teams in tne league.
@ gb My man you don’t know your players. The guynin the pic is not Ghanaian. He is Zambian.
@ sly, yes how can I known him because I don’t live in Zambia to be watching the league week in, week out. The captioning by zamfoot is also misleading because the story hinges on him and Mighty. So whom is this player?
He is a Ghanaian
@gb. I tend to agree with you on the guys stature he looks like Kenneth “Bubble” Malitole
The league is Zanaco’s to lose. The maidens continue their role. Zesco offers what at least could be a two horse race.
