GBFC: Amazulu’s K61,000 too little for Allan Mukuka

GREEN Buffaloes has turned down AmaZulu’s R100,000 (about K61,000) transfer fee offer for Allan Mukuka.

Buffaloes chairman Colonel Andrew Siame said after the Zambia Army command and his executive analysed the conditions and offer set in acquiring the services of the winger, it was decided that the two clubs revisit the negotiation process.

Col Siame explained that the amount offered by the South African first division side was too low for a player of Mukuka’s calibre and therefore rejected it with a view to having a roundtable discussion.

“We rejected their offer on Allan Mukuka. It is too low as he is a national team player who plays for the national team. He is also a soldier whose welfare should be taken care of by the army. Their offer did not indicate how they would take care of our player. We have asked that they send a representative to discuss the new amount and the player’s personal terms,” said Col Siame.

AmaZulu had earlier written to Buffaloes offering R100,000 (K61,000) for a year’s loan move.

Following successful trials two weeks ago, Mukuka was scheduled to join the Durban-based side last Saturday but the Zambia Army side was not happy with the proposed offer.

Mukuka made an impression during the 15th edition of the COSAFA Cup, which was held in Rustenburg in May.

Mukuka was named Man of the Match Award as Zambia beat Ghana 3-0 at Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

  1. Let him go and prove dat he is worth a million rands.. Top clubs wil sign him. If block his move what will next.. That’s Zambia have exports. They demand too much.

  2. Colonel Andrew Siame and your Zambia Army command and executive, how much are you paying this boy on a monthly basis peanuts. The thing is Little for you and the other corrupt officials to share. We know the Money will go into your pockets, as GBFC is sponsored by Government. Everything is paid for you using taxpayers money and here you go demanding more. You are really pathetic. Are you going to feed Mukuka’s family when he is no longer a with GBFC

I have seen what has happened to former GBFC players when they retire. Late Jack Simbule is an example and we all heard his story in one of the Zed tabloids. When he was sick non of his former colleagues ever visited him, up to his death. Back in the late 80’s I and my late brother were in Lusaka to visit my uncle who was in the Zambia Army, who did we meet, ba Robert Lutoba former GBFC and Zambia defender. I was shocked, the man was mu ma pata pata. At first I could not recognize him until my uncle explained who the man was. I said nothing as I could not believe my own eyes

So iwe Colonel Andrew Siame, the Zambia Army command and it’s executive, let the boy go after all it is a one year loan move.

    My advice is include the following the contract;

    a) GBFC has agreed to loan it’s football player in the name of Mukuka a to AmaZulu for a period of one season

    b) AmaZulu shall pay 100, 000 Rand for the loan move

    c) Should AmaZulu decide to sign the player on permanent basis, the price and the players personal terms shall be negotiated

    d) Should the two (2) clubs fail to reach an agreement the player shall return to GBFC after the loan period expires

Let a layer look into the contract and then let AmaZulu sign that. Send a copy to FAZ and a copy to the player

    Is this so difficult kwena

    • I DON’T AGREE WITH THIS I KNOW THE VALUE OF ZAMBIAN PLAYERS, PSL PLAYERS WHO WORTH NOTHING COST MORE THAN OUR PLAYERS I AGREE WITH GBFC.

  3. This is not Zimbabwe or Malawi where people just accept everything that is thrown at them, why should a player leave a team of GBFC for a National First Division team and for that amount?

  4. I live in South Africa. R100, 000. I know the value of R100,000. This is very little money to buy a player, as if it’s slavery sure. Top players in the PSL like Mweene, Teko Modise, etc get as much as R200,000 to R400,000 per month and yet Amazulu want to sign Allan Mukuka for as little as R100,000. This is an insult to Zambian players. GBFC management are in order to refuse such crap little money from Amazulu.

  5. And this is a first division side. There is no guarantee that they will even bounce back to the PSL. This is nonsensical. I don’t even understand you bloggers who are supporting this rubbish from Amazulu.

  6. Iz there any other club which is chasing the signature of this player in sa… Only demand can increase the value of a player.. Let him go and market himself then you wil start demanding more..

  7. R100K is way to little. His club has a valid concern.Amazulu is a wealthy club, they tried to buy a PSL status from Black Aces for millions after they were relegated. Now they’re buying top talents to try and bounce back quicker.Makuka is an international player and they should pay.

  8. Well R100,000 for Mukuka is a fair deal given that he is not a well established national team player. On the other hand the club is in the lower tier of South African Football and their income is quite low. However GBFC must do a comparison of the offered conditions to what themselves are paying the player. If the latter is lower let the poor boy go and earn more. Otherwise u will b blocking the player from a better life. Factually, this boy,s skill isn’t good enough to sink a boat. He is at best average from a very average Zambian league. Honesly speaking there no player in our current superleague that wud command a first team position in the PSL. If the case was so, they wud have identified him already. When people point out that KALU,s one man administration has driven our league to near extinction and stds have plummeted this I’d what they mean.Technically, tactically the league is devoid of new ideas.
