The Chipolopolo Boys on Wednesday left the country for Ethiopia for a series of friendly matches lined up against Ethiopia and South Sudan.
FAZ executive committee member Lee Kawanu is the Delegation Leader for the 23-man Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic coached side. Upon arrival in Ethiopia, The team was welcomed at Jupiter international Airport in Addis Ababa by Zambia’s Ambassador to that country Emmanuel Mwamba.
Kawanu Lee thanked Ambassador Mwamba for the warm welcome in Ethiopia and explained that FAZ is trying to build for the future hence a lot of youngsters in the team.
“For me, I would like to say thank you so much for receiving us even though we arrived quite late. It’s always comforting to see that Zambian people are always here to welcome us in a foreign county,” he said.
“The program that the coach has, you will get a chance to see it here first hand. Their a lot of young new faces trying to break into the main team which is a clear indication of what the Association is trying to do building something for the future.”
The local-based Bullets will face Ethiopia on Thursday and Sunday while they will square off with South Sudan on Saturday and Monday.
The Chipolopolo Boys will host Botswana on November 12 at National Heroes Stadium before traveling to Gaborone four days later.
