Zambia U17 National team striker Billy Daka has returned from Austria where he attended trials at one of the top clubs, the ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal.
Daka spent over two weeks at Austria’s most successful club, Rapid Vienna where he impressed during his assessment period.
The teenager will however not sign with Rapid Vienna after an agreement could not be reached, the ZamFoot Crew understands.
He will continue his development at Nkwazi but a different Euro move could be on the horizon for Billy Daka the ZamFoot Crew has learned.
Daka is part of Dennis Makinka’s U17 National team that reached the last 32 at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025.
His most memorable moment came at the TotalEnergies CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations as he scored a crucial strike in the closing stages of their round of 16 encounter against Uganda which saw Zambia advance to the quarterfinals of the junior Africa Cup of Nations at the expense of Uganda – an accomplishment that was also accompanied with a ticket to the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
