Record 13 time MTN Super League Champions Nkana have confirmed the departure of five players headlined by goalkeeper Patrick Chooma and captain Idriss Ilunga Mbombo.
Mbombo’s contract has expired and will not be renewed while Chooma will return to his parent club FC Leopards after the conclusion of his loan spell.
Nkana confirmed the development in a statement by Media and Communications Manager, Mike Mubanga.
“Nkana Football Club confirms that defender Dieugo Apanane, midfielder Joe Wallace Banda and striker Idris Mbombo will leave the club following the expiry of their contracts.
The club also confirms the conclusion of the loan spells of goalkeeper Patrick Chooma and midfielder Francis Zulu, who will return to their parent club.”
Kalampa has thanked the five players and wished them well in their endeavours.
