The Copper Queens have taken their winning bonuses to around K196,000 [$12,000] each following the 4-2 post match quarter final triumph over Senegal at the WAFCON.
Coach Bruce Mwape’s queens pocketed $6,000 from the group stage after back to back wins over Tunisia and Togo.
The players were each paid $1,500 for the draw against Cameroon while the extra $1,000 came as bonus for qualifying to the tournament.
Should the navigate past either Tunisia or South Africa in the semi final, the players will take their earnings to $16,000 while an extra $5,000 for lifting the trophy has been already agreed.
The Copper Queens are also set benefit from the prize money FAZ will receive from CAF.
As things stand, FAZ will pocket $225,000 for reaching the semi finals. A place in the final will earn the team $300, 000 and $500, 000 as runners up and Champions respectively.

Glad to see some decent rewards being given to these ladies. They deserve more and FAZ needs to find a serious sponsor for the Women’s local league. They have accomplished the unthinkable and made us all proud. They sky is the limit ladies! Now bring home that cup…
