Brazilian coach joins Kanoute in drilling Kafue Celtic as they get down to work

Brazilian coach Rodrigo Freire de Almeida was spotted at Queensmead Stadium taking Kafue Celtic players through their paces.

Also in attendance were 12 management’s Fredric Kanuote and Nicholas Fernandez as Celtic owner Lee Kawanu watched from the stands.

While Rodrigo, Kanoute and Celtic head coach Joel Bwalya took turns to drill the boys, Fernandez, followed mostly from the touchline.

The first phase was about ball retention on small sides pitches before a tactical session with emphasis on ball recycling.

Kanoute and Fernandez arrived from Europe last Friday while Rodrigo flew in from South America a day earlier.

The trio are expected to be in the country till next week before they return to their respective bases.

Kanoute’s 12 management have Patson Daka, Enock and Francisco Mwepu on their books.

Currently Celtic’s Peter Chikola is attending trials at Sturm Graz.

  1. The activities at Celtic over the years gives an indication the club is in the right hands. But you wonder how Lee Kawanu does it! You get the feeling the man eats and sleeps football! How do you expect a club on a shoe string budget to garner such a wonderful and progressive atmosphere at the club?! Over the years Lee seems to be on the look out for young talent and unselfishly allows the talented boys to be attached to clubs in Europe! I sometimes get the feeling the man loves to see other people’s children progress in life. Keep it up bro…we need more of your type in our football.
