Zambia national team head coach Aljosa Asanovic has named a strong 27 member squad for the Invitational tournament in Libya later this month.
Skipper Enock Mwepu leads the 27 Bullets assembled for the two friendly matches against Mali and Libya during this month’s FIFA international window.
Italy based on song wing wizard Lameck Banda who has hit the Serie A ™ by storm has also made the cut.
Striker Patson Daka, defender Frankie Chisenga Musonda, Edward Chilufya, Klings Kangwa, Emmanuel Banda, Fashion Sakala and Miguel Chaiwa complete the European based contingent.
Locally based players have also been included among them Joshua Mutale, Ricky Banda, Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, Lawrence Mulenga, Charles Kalumba, Dominic Chanda and Luka Chamanga.
However, Surprisingly, there is no space for USA based defender Aime Mabika who in the recent past has created a reliable partnership with Chisenga Musonda.
The team enters camp this weekend before trekking to Benghazi where the three-nation tournament will be hosted.
Zambia will play Libya on September 21 before facing Mali four days later.
All teams will be fielding A teams for the FIFA approved friendly games that are being used as part of preparation for next year’s Ivory Coast 2023 (to be played in 2024) Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Why is Aime Mabika not included ? We need an explanation
Exactly, why leave Manila out mmm. We need him please
*Mabika sorry
Tandi Mwape is included in the list of Midfielders? Mabika still needs to be included in the team. He offers height and he is a good defender even if he is on the bench.
We need a strong bench. That’s what wins your games when you have a strong bench that comes in when one of your starters if off or get injured.
The exclusion of Mabika is on point, the guy doesent play for his club, always on the bench, he lacks game time
