Zambia U20 striker Fashion Sakala is yet to link up with his team mates in Tenerife – Spain as he continues to try to impress Russian giants Spartak Moscow.
Sakala who is expected to be Zambia’s main attacking threat at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations to be played in Zambia is reported to be impressing at the trials and was scheduled to play in a friendly on Saturday.
A source close to the Sakala’s trials told the ZamFoot Crew thats Spartak will be making a decision on the striker this weekend.
“Fashion is playing in a friendly today (Saturday). His performance in the game will be key in determining whether they release him or not,” the source said.
Should he leave the Spartak camp, the Zanaco striker will head for the U20 camp in Spain.
Sakala was Zanaco’s joint top scorer with Rodrick Kabwe having found the back of the net 10 tines apiece.
He scored 4 goals at the regional Cosafa U20 Championship where Zambia won gold.
However, the U20 squad was on Thursday buoyed by the arrival of Getafe midfielder Mwape Mumba in camp.
Portugal based Emmanuel Banda is also being awaited ahead of the practice matches planeed for next week
Ngosa Sunzu and Conlyde Luchanga who both play in Israel are expected to join the team later in February.
It’s yours fashion!! Chance!!
If Zambia should do well in future they ought to take care of this team. Already among these boys some are in Europe. Nurturing the side is what is necessarry : keep the boys active ( dont rely on where they are plying their trade only), bring in new faces ( drop non performers for performers, act.
Players with a built for a physiical type of a game are hard to come by in Zambia. In addition to my earliar posting the technical team must consider this aspect among many others. Sometimes Zambia fails to get results because the replacements / substitute players they have do not bring a varied dimension that is necessary or do not bring the same dimension to maintain the shape.
Best wishes young chimpolopolo and fashion its your time just focus and concetret
Zamfoot does it mean that the lad won’t b released (if liked) for how long? cause he z needed and I think he must be part of the team or in short must b able to play Atleast one or two games in europe.
If faz keep on taking care of these young lads many of them will be in europe after afcon u20 this year, zambia is heading somewhere back to its normal. African countries watch out 2019 afcon seniors
Yea iyi ndoye team ya Ziko. This is the future. Faz knows this, Zambia knows this & the pkayes know this.
iyi ndiye team ya ziko la Zambia. Both Faz & the boys know this.
Let’s give the maximum support. We need to go to Korea for the U.20 world cup.
It would be nice to win it on home soil. Guinea/ Egypt & Cameroon are going to be geared to eliminate the host but we should show them•√
Zamfoot where is mukuka mulenga..
The last time I saw his talent at work was in Windhoek during an international game.
This boy’s career has been poorly managed. So much potential but no ambition. Sigh!
I was asking the same question too
I didnt know Conlyde Luchanga is U20. Is Ngosa Nsunzu the young brother of the Sunzu brothers Felix and Stopilla?
@Sibs, Yes Ngosa is
@SLIM Thanks. Hope he is good as the elder siblings.
