Zimbabwe National team coach Joseph ‘Joey’ Antipas has named his eighteen member squad to face Zambia on Tuesday in Lusaka in the 2021 Afcon Qualifier match.
The match slated for National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka has seen Antipas drop three players from the Warriors squad which will travel to Lusaka this afternoon.
The trio is Zesco United midfielder Thabani Kamusoko, striker Terrence Dzvukamanja and goalkeeper Talbert Shumba who were part of the squad which played to 0-0 draw on Friday against the Zebras of Botswana in Zimbabwe.

Antipas has kept faith in first-choice goalie Elvis Chipezeze and he will be deputized by Simbarashe Chinani.
The Warriors guffer has maintained the same backline which has Teenage Hadebe, Ronald Pfumbidzai, Ian Nekati, and Alc Mudumu. Others are Partson Jaure, Cliff Moyo, and Kelvin Moyo.
In midfield, Khama Billiat will be the orchestrator of attack alongside the hardworking Marvelous Nakamba as well as tricky Ovidy Obvious Karuru. Other midfielders that have made the squad are Marshall Muneti, Butholezwe Ncube and Kudakwashe Mahachi.
Warriors captain Knowledge Musona will lead the team in the final third alongside Knox Mutizwa and Prince Fine who is expected to start from the bench against Zambia.
The Warriors started their Group H Afcon qualification campaign with a draw at home against the Zebras of Botswana at home are third on the table with a single point behind Algeria who thrashed Zambia 5-0 have 3 points, Botswana with 1 point.
Following a home draw, Antipas said he was satisfied with the performance of the team but promised that will work on the striking force going into the match against the Chipolopolo Boys this Tuesday.
“Our movement in the attack was not good enough and it’s one of the things that we have to work on. Overall, I think we played well,” said Antipas.
Zimbabwe plays Zambia in Lusaka at the National Heroes Stadium in an 18:00Hrs kickoff.
The last time the two teams were paired in the same group for Afcon qualification was in 1981 with Zambia beating Zimbabwe 0-1 and 2-0 over the two legs in Harare and Lusaka respectively.
