ZESCO United continued their impressive pre-season preparations with a 1-0 victory over Congolese side AS Simba Kamikaze in Kitwe on Thursday.
Ghanaian striker Elvis Bernard Addae scored the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the 51st minute to hand ZESCO United victory.
The result means ZESCO United have now won four consecutive matches during their pre-season campaign as they build towards the new season.
The victory came on the opening day of a four-team pre-season tournament involving ZESCO United, Power Dynamos, Red Arrows and AS Simba Kamikaze.
Earlier on Thursday, Power Dynamos also made a winning start to the tournament, edging Red Arrows 1-0 in an entertaining encounter at Arthur Davies Stadium.
Daniel Adoko scored the only goal of the match in the 25th minute as Power Dynamos began their preparations with victory over the Airmen.
The tournament continues on Friday with ZESCO United facing Power Dynamos before Red Arrows take on AS Simba.
