It was disappointing to see a brown playing field on TV. And at one of the famous grounds of Zambian football. We really should develop standards as a nation. Is very embarrassing when the whole Africa watches our football and we claim that Nchanga is one of the biggest clubs in the country yet they can’t manage a small field of grass.
I think FAZ should come up with a policy of not broadcasting such disgraceful football fields.
Thanks for raising this issue. See my comment below. I also watch the Zimbabwean league. Their pitches are in tip-top and very good condition compared to Zambia. I should say that with all their problems, Zim is far ahead of Zambia. Let them sort out their political issues, you will see where Zim will be. Shame on Zambia.
@vunga well observed and well said. And to think that not too long ago this was the stadium hosting international matches. We really know how to advertise our shame.
Off topic, once again watching the ZPL is an eyesore. Just seeing the state of the pitches puts one off watching. Thanks to SS9 we are able to watch the league and it’s very embarrassing to say the least. The pitches are pathetic. Sure Zambia is plenty of water and manure (if they can’t afford fertilizer). Even Zimbabwe with all their economic problems their pitches are far much better than in Zambia. Even the sate of their league is better than the ZPL. Sure work culture in Zambia is very bad. Don’t even talk about the weather, because Zambia and Zimbabwe has the same weather pattern. It’s just poor working culture in the country.
Good observation folks. Nonetheless, our cameramen seems to be backwards to say the least. I once watched a live game in Ndola and the grass was green but on tv it was brown! The Zim guys play on synthetic just like the Tswanas because the cant maintain by watering.
No most of the Zim pitches are real grass my friend.
Ama folks you crack me awe sure ati we know how to advertise our shame,TV is brown grass but green in real.
