    • OK. It’s a point system. The further your teams proceed in the CAF competitions, the more points your country accumulate and there more clubs to represent your country. In the case of South, South African clubs perform well and go far in CAF competitions, e.g. Orlando Pirates who once won it in 1995 and case second last year after they lost to Zamalek. So it’s to do with how best your teams perform in these competitions and therefore more number of clubs representing your country.

    • Its performance based. South Africa in recent years have reached the finals of the CAF competitions. This good performance warrants more spots for them. Their clubs have actually done very well in CAF over the last four years unlike Zambia.

  1. The quality of Zambian league is very low, let us admit. I do not think ZANACO will even go through. One will be implausible to compare South African League With ours; therefore, they deserve more spots on CAF. Our league is technically very behind: the quality of play leaves much to be desired.

      • Fact! And the sooner we acknowledge that, the better for football because it means we can now start dealing with the real causes of our fall. This was made abundantly clear at the recent CHAN 2016 where each competing team brought its locally-based players who reflect the quality of their respective leagues.

    • I hope so too. It is my wish as well that Zanaco wins. But having watched Harare City many times, it won’t be easy for Zanaco. But I wish them well.
