Copper Queens head coach Bruce Mwape is not satisfied despite his team winning 6-0 in Angola on Wednesday.
Mwape says there are some areas that need improvement despite the huge scoring in Luanda.
He feels the team had too many breakdowns and did not keep possession as they should in a match that they dominated.
Mwape has also hinted on making changes to the team to give chance to other players who did not get a chance in Luanda.
“I think this is the result we were looking for and looking at the way we played in the first half we created a lot of chances but could not find the net in good time. We could have scored three or four goals in the first 20 minutes. In the second half we played well,” he said.
“Not really 100 percent, we still need to improve on possession because there were a lot of breakdowns, otherwise the girls did well and we were happy with the result.
“I’m sure winning six zero away and our fans will expect more than that at home but that’s not our plan we need to look at some areas where we would like to make some changes in future. The young players who were left out because of the number, we will try and make some changes and see if they can participate in the second leg,” he added.
A Barbra Banda hat-trick and a goal each from Lushomo Mweemba, Ireen Lungu, and Racheal Kundananji gave the Copper Queens a 6-0 win over Angola.
The second leg of the 2024 WAFCON Qualifier second round will come to life on Tuesday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium at 18h00.
Tickets for the match are available from as low as K20 in all Shoprite stores countrywide via CompuTicket.

and it’s the truth! the team needs to need improving because right now they don’t have what it takes to take control of a match honestly
I agree with you coach Bruce mwape ball possession is very poor,
Try to use accurate passes and Make strong midfield for example as usual build from the back Everytime examine the girls to move together they should not be scattered around your team is a big one it is known globally therefore Mr Bruce and your technical bench be ready to read your team, don’t be relaxed after scoring but I urge you to watch the game closely see how girls are moving maybe during after time talk about them,, emphasize on accurate passes, let the player have the courage to move with a ball a bit and pass to find the way out . Thank you
