Chipolopolo Boys’ senior striker Alex ‘Bazo’ Ng’onga trained away from the rest of the Chipolopolo Boys.
The 25 year old powerful striker did light training together with midfielder and fellow Dinamo Godfrey Ngwenya who is recovering from an injury.
Ng’onga picked up a muscle strain in the 3-1 win over Uganda and was replaced by Friday Samu.
Both players face a late fitness test ahead of Thursday’s mouthwatering tie against Ivory Coast.
Should Ng’onga fail to recover, it will be a big blow to Wedson Nyirenda’s game plan as the striker is highly rated within the Chipolopolo camp.
Wada Wada has three options in th form of Samu, Martin Phiri and Mushili Chanda but their reservations about the trio.

Highly rated for what. For missing his target and failing to use his brain in front of the goal? The guy has power and speed but no brain. Tell him to concentrate on passing the ball coz his pass leading to the score of the first goal was perfect. Otherwise he don’t know where the goal mouth is on the field of play.
You will soon eat your words…privately!
The pass leading to the goal came from Kambole
He is perfect at all things except doing the easiest of things considered basic staff for a stricker.
He is just poor a planga as someone rightly put it
uyu umuguys liplanga
‘Wadawada sweating over N’gonga’s fitness’ proper joke of the day.
‘Wadawada sweating over N’gonga’s fitness’ very fun, the player cant see the goal post in front of him.
The Patson Daka story should have taught certain people a lesson…. he was a planga yesterday. Today, he’s Africa’s best young player
Ng’onga is good player wishing you quick recovery
I Like Him He Puts Defendes Busy,
He presses them defenders till they shrink , like Firmino does 4 the Reds
What Ngonga lacks is composure when scoring but he puts in a lot of work and looks very threatening wen running at defenders. WEdson seems to have brought out the best in his strikers, give them a chance.
Ngonga is a good player, two defenders cannot handle him.He attracts attention to many defenders leaving the kambole free to score. His work late is very high.we better be considerate with our remarks.he is the most experienced striker in the team with strength and power. The only thing he need to be encouraged is that,he need to be passing if it’s obviously that he can’t score. The truth of matter is that he is highly needed in the team.i understand wada with his worries
Very true he is experience is needed. He is the threat to the defenders when going forward. Zambian you must learn to appreciate. You were blaming daka but today he is the cream of zambian football at this moment.
This ng’onga guy can be as deadly as any striker you can think of if only he knows were the goal is. The lad does most of the donkey work upfront, he is powerful and gives defenders a torrid time and above all he is a workholic.Let us give him support and he will start to score regularly.
Ati powerful stricker!????! ????? How ? When did he become powerful? Why are you misleading the public?
Oh may be it is mind games. Lets face it Friday Samu is energetic and compliments efforts from the Mbewe’s and Silwimba’s around him.
When the injury did Zambia a favour and Friday Samu replaced mr. Ngonga, our game changed drastically as compared to the 1st half. The team played better onwards…
Time will tell
People this no time for discouragements, let’s give the lad a break for we need every Jim and Jack for we are in war.
indeed we are in a war with an “Aliminium” bullet in the name of Alex “Blank” Ng’onga
ba Wada why sweat over the fitness of a prayer who is wasteful in front of goal. Dont worry Wada Wada Friday Samu will do the job. The guy is just wasting resources there.
“Chipolopolo Boys’ senior striker Alex ‘Bazo’ Ng’onga,””The 25 year old powerful striker.” Sure ba Admin why promoting mediocre, such are the same statements ayalekusha N’onga umutwe and fail to perform. You are putting to much pressure on N’gonga by over hyping him with such statements at powerful striker. Hahahahahah!
