Stop bothering us!…Mother tells off Zambians to leave their ‘Belgian wonderkid’ alone

Zambian legend Charles ‘Charlie Cool’ Musonda’s wife Angela has told off Zambians to stop bothering her family about the availability of their highly rated 19 year  old son Charly Jnr.

In a response to facebook messages after the Football Association of Zambia, FAZ announced on Friday that Chipolopolo Boys coach George Lwandamina has extended an invitation to the on loan Real Betis midfielder, Angela came out strong.

“Kindly stop harrassing me or Charles Musonda via inbox requesting to know if [Charly] Musonda will play for Zambia,” the former Zambian Airways air hostess posted.

“Maybe you mean well, but hey it’s too much, stop it!!!,” She adds.

If that was not enough, Angela, a Mufulira native went on to educate the Zambians that his son is also eligible to feature for England as well in addition to his country of birth Belgium.

“For your own information. He qualifies to play for Belgium and England too. But no one is bothering us from those 2 countries because they know that the decision is not theirs but the boy himself,” She bragged.

This is in star contrast with Ghana legend Abedi Ayew Pele’s kids Andre and Jordan. Despite being born in France where their Father had a successful playing career, they have been featuring for the Black Stars.

While in the past ‘Charlie Cool’ had stated the main hindrance for his three boys to feature for Zambia was because of the lack of dual citizenship, that isn’t the case as the new constitution provides that.

In September 2014, the former Mufulira Wanderers and Zambia No. 8 responded to a question on social media when it was put to him that he should try and emulate the likes of Ayew brothers and Drogba.

“Those West Africans hold two passports.. imwe ba Henry kamfumu Phiri as a Zambian you not allowed to have two… hence my boys have one passport.. simple !

And Bana Lamisha concluded by writing , “Now twist this one as well if you are a hater. Go on.”

In January this year, Sports Minister Vincent Mwale met with the Musondas in London.

    • please don’t insult Bana Lamisha. But she just thank fans that they are making her son a super star.
Then she not forget to promote her other 2kids, especially Tika, he should be first to play for Zambia.

  1. For me there z no big deal with this boy.we have material abena lubambo, chisamba, cletus chama salulani phiri we can still do it the way we did it in 2012 coz this angella musonda azakula mutu as if her son z more than zambia she z forgetting that her relatives are in zambia and that one day she will come home.Angella please be with yo son and don’t celebrate as u did in 2012 when zambia win any game.

  2. useles mother to hell with yo children. zambia is yo motherland. why bragging against zambia? for u and yo husband to be where are its the same team yo are demonising. think twice!

  3. I understand where this lady is coming from…its the boy’s decision at the end of the day and we have no business in sending messages to his parents concerning Chipolopolo…However, comparing us to Europeans is cheap; they have a host of players to call upon-we have less, their culture is low context and ours is high context;our collectiveness puts us in a position to ask the parents to influence the child…Angela I believe she has lost some groove-your values get eloded after being that long in Europe and that is a fact…I hope Charly brings this to bed with no problem…whether he is in or not CHIPOLOPOLO will go on!

  4. awe guys lets not be insulted by a woman.true chalie is our son coz came from ba charles musonda who has been seeing masseges from zambians inviting the young star.she came out like that coz she has lost descipline being in belguim its becoz of the zambians now she has gats to tell as off.england is not wer the musonda family came from.yes they ve the ryt to denay coz they re the parents for the boys.learn how u can tell pipo as a lady hope charles musonda u not controlled by ur woman if it wer me was goin to impress moyher zambia.a woman is a woman let her leqrn to respect zambians iwe kamayo cud any one give me her facebook name i say somethin that will make her go kubalangizi

    • Awe ba Wiza ikaleni fye. This is tantamount to harassment. This is the problem with abena Zambia. When this kid was at the academy you were all quiet. Now you see him on TV and all of a sudden you want to be emailing his mother and his family. It is none of your business who this young man chooses to play for. Let him make up his own mind. She has every right to say what she did. Lost discipline how? Are women especially mothers not allowed to defend their own. Please take that mentality back to the village.

  5. No wonder Kalu is greater than the so called “Charlie Cool” .

Kalu has been insulted during his playing career and now FAZ President but he always answers the motherland calls .

Ba Angela naba Musonda Snr tell us Musonda is a Belgian name? Balemufwaya kwa Shi Lubemba Anso .

Let Charles Musonda and his family be… Good luck to your boys though whether you like or not they Carry Zambia DNA .

  6. In fact were not even serious it about we knew how the response would be, all we wanted is to try because you lied that Zambian constitution does not support duel citizenship but here we are.Your unpatriotic hasn’t started today, i think it your nature.I even wonder if charles Musonda’s relatives even comes to your place looking at the way you are coming out.
To be honest with you, Kalu didn’t commit any crime to accept to continue with the reconstituted team which ended up in the final 1994,if that is you are still aggrieved of, please apologize but frankly speaking, you are both Zambians and you have done fair.It is like you are not happy to be born as a Zambians, therefore God was wrong. Thank you.

  7. Please stop bothering them at the end of the day the final say will come from their child and this will depend on how the parents educated their Child about his Mother Country – Zambia. I,too, have Children who were not born in Zambia but I educate them about my Country and they know our Culture and eat all our Zambia food. This sounds baseless but when you look at West Africans they don’t forget who they are! Zambians and Congolese people (DRC) are no different thats why you see it’s easy for DRC players to opt to play for foreign Countries because they don’t value their Country. Its high time We started putting value to Africa as Black people. Please for enlightenment’s sake just watch documentaries like Hidden Colors they will shed more light on who we are as black people and the influence we have not only academically but in sport also. Chipolopolo is great even without this Kid, the choice of playing for Zambia will be for his own benefit.

  8. Hahahaha can we stop wasting time with these unpatriotic people they may well regret their behavior in future just call serious boys like Mayuka. We need Mayuka in the team geared use never leave him out. This boy charly may fail in europe the competition is too high over there leave him alone.

    • How can you call the young man unpatriotic? How many Zambian teeth have you fixed ba John? Are you not a dentist in Australia? Have you not chosen to live your life there? Lets not cast stones when we live in glass houses. The choice is the young mans.

At least with Belgium he has a better chance of going to the World Cup than with Zambia. Heck, the team can’t even find a coach. As someone who lives in the diaspora. I will not sit here and call the young man unpatriotic. Lets get over ourselves and wait patiently for his decision; whatever that may be.

      • Nishana na imwe, Musondas wife is the problem apa. Let the 2 deliver their passports to the Zambian Embassy

  9. I have watched all Charly Musonda’S FIVE GAMES AT REAL BETIS, and please ladies and gentlemen lets not disturb this boy because he is a serious joy to the football world especially Zambia. The call to the Zambia national team, as much as it would be appreciated to many is a wrong call for me.

  10. Let me tell you something from experience about living and working in the diaspora from experience. Only a handful succeed out there its too competitive. If this boy is not careful he will fail with belgium. Just leave him alone. The parents are actually not very smart. He stands a better chance of being a star with zambia if he shines at the afcon or world cup. Look at the likes of yaya toure, drogba and eto and see how they became house hold names. Leave this time wasting boy and focus on bringing back Mayuka. We are tired of patson daka. Bring back Mayuka he’s scoring in Egypt. We want Mayuka not this boy!

  11. Abedi Pele has kids they play for Ghana what is so special about this boy let him be he will be a bench warmer for belgium who will never win any trophy. Zambia will win trophies mark my words

  12. This boy cannot compete with eden hazard or de bryne. And there is a lot of racism there they will live to regret this decision for the rest of their lives mark my words hahahaha

  13. Bana Musonda ati the boy qualify to play for England or Belgium but those countries are not bothering us.Madam it is the coaches to call a performing player not you and your husband to impose your children on coaches.Lwandamina was trying to do what a coach is suppose to do.look at Lamishi and Tika they were almost as hot as charly but your pride is slowly shattering their dreams.this is football madam today everyone is talking about your child mailo pakatalala.

  14. pipo let us leave these guyz alone…one person cant win us cups, football is about having a great team people who are willing to die for mother Zambia.. even if that boy comes he wont perform as he does wen is at his club

  15. We Don’t even need this chilli cool boy. We have enough Material in the country. He will rot with his skill.

  16. Charles Musonda said silence is golden, it’s sad we can debate were a Musonda should belong but at the end of the day loyalty does play row. BANA Musonda still has a right to chose rich England or Belgium over poverty stricken Zambia. Even if it takes me have a hundred children I must produce one for zambianfootball

  17. The woman is right. Especially if Zambians (regular citizens who are not the coach or minister of sport) are sending her messages and bothering her about her son. People get too excited for nothing.

Let the young man have his space and make his own decision. You and I have no say in that. So why should we be the ones to ask Bana Lamisha questions or even send her messages. She is also very right. Other countries respect that idea and that is why they don’t harass people. Besides, I wish the young man luck, and I would cheer him on whether in European cup or in AFCON. He is talented and is awesome to watch.

    • That’s the right message, spot on! C’mmon people, lets not assume things. Instead lets wait and here from the boy himself. The Idea of name calling names won’t help. At the end of the day his a professional footballer and has to do whats really best for his career.Let us not force things.Irregardless of his decision, I will always cheer him on.

    • I understand where this lady is coming from…its the boy’s decision at the end of the day and we have no business in sending messages to his parents concerning Chipolopolo…However, comparing us to Europeans is cheap; they have a host of players to call upon-we have less, their culture is low context and ours is high context;our collectiveness puts us in a position to ask the parents to influence the child…Angela I believe she has lost some groove-your values get eloded after being that long in Europe and that is a fact…I hope Charly brings this to bed with no problem…whether he is in or not CHIPOLOPOLO will go on!

  18. I have tried by all means not to comment on this subject matter, but I have really failed been a Zambian. Really i have never seen such unpatriotic Zambians like the Musonda’s

Believe me if it is true Great Kalu has got no influence on this under whatsoever. In fact he has done a lot for this country. I have been a footballer before and we used to exchange a lot of bad words with fellow players but even up to now in different fields, others in the same field we are still one family under one parent been Zambia. Personally I don’t think we nd to beg this boy nor the parents anymore. We still have so many good players despite not been exposed at that international level. JUNIOR IS JUST ONE OF THEOSE LUCKY Zambians. Really if I was his Father/ Mother I could have drugged him to play for mother Zambia. We have seen great players, The Ayew BORTHERS, Drogba, the Toure’s to mention who have dedicated their playing game time to their mother land. If it is money let the boy go and lets not cry about spilled milk. We have our patriotic Mbesuma, Chris K, Kalaba, Chisamba, Sinkala, Mayuka the list is endless. Awe bane enough is enough. If it will take another decade to qualify for the world cup without begging such players let it be. However he is one of our one brothers, son of this land. How nice it shall be to have him in the copper bullets, the mighty Chipolopolo boys shirt. May God bless Zambia.

  19. They don’t harass in those 2 countries because the competition is too high for him he won’t manage they have other players that’s why he was a bench warmer at Chelsea

  20. Hahaha y r we complaining over this, some of us knew this along tym ago. Kegan tried 2 call these boys, the ans fro the mother was same. So i hop pipo now will kno, that kalu has nothing 2 do wth these issues.in 1993 wen we lost our team, charles refused 2 b part of the team 2 formed. And that was da end of him zambians forget about him

  21. What re u braging about this boy, lamisha and tika were also hot but were re they, this boy cant go far with belgium bz this country has abandant talent beta than him leave the boy alone we ve achieved more with our own his father was a gud midfider but wen it came to zambia he was always injured the air hostse is write the child ii make a decision we won the afcon nd we re still mighty God bless zambia we have got talent from the mother i can say chimbwi tanyela pamusasa

  22. call ndumba makeche he is very willing to play for zambia let them be.only charles can try and push for the place in belgum team not for those other they will need zambia.

    • I think Willingness and ability are two different things. Anyway, I wish you luck on your campaign to get him a call up.

  23. tufyale, tufunde ba tuyele, increase the numbers of sons one of yours may be ours all “every zambian’s pride”

  24. Charly Musonda Jr has rejected chipolopolo call up.His father is saying the boy doesn’t even have a Zambian passport .chapter closed!

  25. Come on Zambians! This is not the way to handle issues. Learn to be factual. Whenever Charles Musonda failed to report for national duties due to injury, he was called all sorts of names. Where were you when Musonda was injured? Where were you when Musonda was struggling financially ? Where were you when Musonda’s application for his children’s passports was rejected? What was your response when Lucky Msiska spoke about Lamisha, Tika and Charly about 5 years ago? Lets not put pressure on this family.

  26. before you strangle the mother, why dont you guys ask Professor Clive Chirwa what it takes to leave Europe and come to work in Zambia??????

  27. Let us support our own boys, evans kangwa, lubambo, mayuka, fwayo, sunzu, sinkala, master etc. They say the bird in hand is………….mo than 2 out there. We’v had gud player in zambia eg moses nd andrew most pipo do not know them y?

  28. Let her brag all she wants, at the end she is bana Musonda, a Zambian. And all those that pretend to forget their past or home have nothing

  29. I have met and hang out with Charles and his wife and they are both good people. His wife however seems to hate Kalusha with a passion and has a bit of a braggadocio side to her. She is a little on the controlling side and as you can see from the statement, she is lacking in the humility aspect too. In all honesty I do not see a scenario where this kid will play for Zambia unless Belgium snubs him. The statement from her that this decision is up to him is very loaded because I all know that she has big say in this matter and I highly doubt she will recommend he picks Zambia. If this family wanted any of their kids to play for Zambia, this would have happened a long time ago.

    • On the other hand, she is very right to ask people to start harassing her. We need to learn to respect people’s space

  30. Let’s forget about this family that is feeling uncomfortable to be black africans now. Aba Abantu ba mukankoyo lelo bapontela Zambia. Let him play for England or Belgium and see how many times he will feature for those racists with that color. Angela Musonda in her wildest dreamz thinks she is now white. Inferiority complex at its best! Education is very important.

  31. He is not been advised well. With zambia charly musonda can become one of the biggest stars in world football. He can win afcon and go to the world cup and later captain zambia and join big European teams. With belgium he won’t get more than 15 caps he should choose wisely.

  32. I think Zambia is bigger than an individual. We shall still fail or succeed without him.

Talking too much spoils soup coz its many cooking sticks!

  33. Muntu wandi tabalaba okowafuma and wiponta okowafuma coz u don’t know were u’re going no place is sweeter than home.Home is home

  34. this is what most of you bloggers wanted you were busy calling for these kids to come and play for our chipolopolo ,but you know what the arrogant air hostess refused shame .forget about these kids ,Zambia has alot of skilled soccer players .let them stay in Europe we are comfortable with our real Zambian lads

  35. Charly z a gud talent..let’s wait for his decision.but if ther ar stories beyond our reach then let’s foget it and concentrate on chisamba and the others.remember michael owen was born in zambia bt never chose this country instead he opted to play for England.choose wisely charly junior

  36. Honestly, some of the language used is extreme! We’d be sparing ourselves this unnecessary outpouring of negative emotions over Mrs Musonda’s brash comments (typical of bazungu on issues of personal liberties) if we had reliable home grown talents… this is where our real challenge lies.

This is another wake up call to FAZ to think of how we can produce in Zambia dozens of Charly Jrs as Cote d’Ivoire has tried to do (YAYA, Kolou, Bony..); if if one goes, we have others to fill in the gap …..Zidane was born of Algerian parents but chose France…Algerians (as other Arab countries) didn’t cry but put money into development and as a result they always hold their own against mighty Germany, Brazil, France…Trends show that in this globalized world people increasingly choose to belong where they think (wrongly or rightly) their interests are better catered for..

  37. Me pissed offf then comments[刀][刀][刀]
Ok, matured peaple will now stop this musonda saga(with due respect to musonda family and musonda jr decision) lets us not be dragged in football politics, don’t fall for anything spoken by anyone, be FAZ, kamanga/simata group or any tabloid. But learn to scrutinize and take time to research for particular story , no Matter how tempting it is to comment , then make a well informed decision to comment…am afraid , a lot of comments makes me wanna smash my fone coz Tatwatemwa ukufwailikisha ichishinka or information on the subject before we curse or praise somebody, twalibelela ukubepwa…..so let us burn our energy on congo game and what we need to do ti win the games…messi could have played for Spain and won trophies unlike the way he did with Argentina and always runnersup…so its up to what makes you happy/or you heart not trophies and patriotism..so congo game let real football lovers move on, its not the first and last time….thanks zambia ichalo chesu gentleman one love ❤️

  38. Friends don’t be bitter, let this family do what’s best for them. None of you will pay their bills, say if anything happens while playing for Zambia. No insurance package to cover them unless you tell me that corrupt Kalu and faz has that inplace. He ain’t looking out for his former teammates, does he? Yes it’s very frustrating, but happy to see patriotic Ghanaians and the rest of West Africans representing their native countries, but remember that what goes up must come down and as such let’s wish these kids well, not bad. They will always be connected to Zambia and we should be glad for that. We have good players already and don’t need to stress ourselves with people that don’t want to play for mother Zambia. We are proud of the players that are committed to play Zambia, that’s it.

    • Bwana tc soccerman. This is a common problem…even among European nations: Michel Platini was born of Italian parents but chose to play France. Ghana has one Boateng (Kevin) playing for Germany (Jerome) and the other for Ghana! DRC has the older Mandanda playing as goalkeeper for France and his younger bro as second choice keeper for DRC. It wont be long before we see twin representing 2 different countries.

There is a lot these people who choose to play for their countries of adoption can do for their countries of origin and so contribute very positively (there are many ways of showing patriotism..playing is just one way!). With the money earned in Europe Marcel Dessailly has funded the construction of a world class facility in Ghana, Lukaku has also invested in football in his native DRC. I hear Patrick Viera is doing the same in Senegal…

  39. charles is somewhat overating his tiny son. he may be good. but while we are salivating, belgium are not. they have massivbe talent they are not like us- lukaku benteke hazard kompany. they have seen more. there is no way he will replace edenhazard at the national team.

  40. ‘ I respect Zambians I have known through FB Gentlemen the truth is in front of you and it’s behind me.. open your eyes don’t despise what you love and that is football, regardless.. It’s been long overdue, most of you don’t understand the pride of playing for the nation, I do. Calling me unpatriotic guy is fine because you have no idea how people turned against me, for that reason alone I forgive most Zambians who talk trash, but don’t dare start talking about me again in a negative way. I have gone through that phase. I was part of Zambian football long time ago, did everything right until my time come abruptly and my career was over. Thank God he opened another door for me.. Most former Zambian international players are not considered in an case and am part of that category. I always talk to Lwandamina we have been friends since Zambia Schools the call he made surprised me, I have great respect for him and i will continue to be his friend I know if he really had to make a decision like that he was going to call me and talk, like we always do while am in Ndola visiting.. I would have known if it was serious am old school guy a spade is a spade, you can’t win a race without starting.. He’s matured unlike some. He’s open minded. I have limits and I’ve limited myself knowing I never contributed enough for the nation because of my injury but some people took advantage of that situation to damage my image beyond.. Only reasonable Zambian people who knew me personally are with me. Imagine if the media and coverage of sport was like it is now during our time.. I would be the most adorable Zambian if you know what I mean.. That’s my Mufulira Sec School English lol.. My classmates used to call me.. the best absentee and I loved it hahaha.. If only I was still involved in Zambian football not as a hero but to help others become heroes.. I rest my case’ Charles Musonda snr on Facebook today.

    • My piece of advice to the Musonda charle’s family is that let your children play for chipolopolo as the sons of Ayew are doing, that will help them and help our mother zambia, allowing your children to play for england or Belgium will be not good despite of any problem you might think of, stay blessed, charly musonda jr just think twice and take up this chance to play for chipolopolo, the bible says he that gives to the poor lends to God and God will give him back

  41. Its official guys charly musonda has turn down the chipolopolo call he said that he is belgian, his father said he does not even have the zambian passport.the belgian coach is expecting to call him for a friendly game

  42. What a wonderful and talented kid this charly boy is, he is too good to play for minnows Zambia. Can you imagine a 19 year old expected to carry the expectation of the whole nation ? The Patrick”kluivert” Dakas of this world are the ones who deserve to play for minnows not charly.

  43. Ladies and gentlemen,
this is the mother speaking. She could have been kinder with her words. There she was wrong. However, we are now against the whole family talking about the father and the lad as though they have said anything. Please wait. Let the boy speak. Charlie Cool has not even spoken on it.
The mother is probably tired of the questioning and reacted angrily

  44. Charly Musonda Junior rejects call-up to play for Zambia

SPANISH side Real Betis midfielder Charly Musonda junior has rejected Zambia coach George Lwandamina’s invitation for the 2017 Gabon Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Congo-Brazzaville.
And Charly’s mother, Angela Musonda, and Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development Vincent Mwale say it is the player’s decision to choose the country he wants to represent.

On Friday, Lwandamina invited the 19-year-old attacking midfielder for the Red Devils clash set for March 23 in Ndola and four days later in Brazzaville.

Charly junior, who is a member of the Belgium under-21 national team, is also eligible to play for England.

According to hlnsport, Charly junior has rejected the call-up with his father, Charles Musonda, saying his son does not even have a Zambian passport.

His mother, Angela, has stated that the decision is up to the player himself.

“Kindly stop harassing me or Charles Musonda via inbox requesting to know if Musonda will play for Zambia. Maybe you mean well, but hey it’s too much, Stop it!

“For your own information. He qualifies to play for Belgium and England too. But no one is bothering us from these two countries because they know that the decision is not theirs but the boy himself. Now twist this one as well if you are a hater. Go on,” Angela posted on her Facebook page.

But Mwale, who recently met the family in England, supported Lwandamina’s decision to invite the player.

Mwale said in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that he had a fruitful meeting with the Musonda family where they discussed among other things how the former national team midfielder could contribute to the development of football in Zambia.

He said both Charles and Angela are patriotic Zambians and Charly junior would play for Zambia if it was up to them.

“I support what Lwandamina has done to call Charly because as a country, we must show interest, that’s number one.

Belgium is showing interest by sending their coach to watch him in Spain because he qualifies to play for three countries.

“Zambia, by virtue of his parents, Belgium by birth and England by the period he has lived there. So all of us must show inter-est,” he said.

Belgium coach Mark Wilmots was in Spain three days ago to watch Charly in Betis’ 3-0 win over Espanyol.

Mwale said Zambians should look beyond Charly and also consider his siblings Lamisha and Tika.

    • Thanks for this info; this is what really counts for me…”Mwale said in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that he had a fruitful meeting with the Musonda family where they discussed among other things how the former national team midfielder could contribute to the development of football in Zambia”

It’s for FAZ to create the right enabling environment for former stars such as Charles Musonda Snr to contribute to the development of our soccer….Ubwafya is, for some reason, we don’t seem to have a proud record regarding the handling of issues relating to former players …suffice it to remind ourselves of the tears (to this day) of the late Debby Makinka’s kids…The handling of the Gabon disaster is a painful legacy that could still be haunting former stars and their families.

  45. Gentle men charles was not patriotic like kalusha this is why africa does not know charles musonda but kalusha how many games did he play for zambia after afcon 90 in algeria 1 game 20mins against morroco in casablanca where we lost kalusha has a silver medal and bronze medal from afcon 94 and 96 whilest charles has a bronze and a quarter final at the 88 olympics , he kalusha was 88 african footballer of the year and 94 bbc african footballer of the year a true legend and the day he dies africa will mourn of its great son charles will let his bad luck haunt his sons the other two will not feature for the belgium national team after being highly publicised we shall not have our 2012 african champions insulted over a small boy we are proud to be zambian let charly be he thought his son will play for chelsea they ended up loaning him to betis which is a smaller club than chelsea that should ring bells to him and his pompous wife when the 93 team died he was declining call ups to the national team they can hung am sure it pained him when he saw kalusha and the team lifting the afcon trophy in gabon in 2012 .

  46. Interesing debate! those that are calling the boy and parents names don’t know what they are writing about. Zambia needs such a player more than Belgium and England. Zambia doesn’t have such a player. The Zambian government is sleeping, it should pull a quick one, by proving him with a passport. The father says ‘ he doesn’t even have a Zambian passport’ that is a pointer enough to indicate ‘ give him a Zambian passport’ and what are the ‘ authorities doing about it? The good point is that should the boy be disappointed with not having enough play time for Belgium, he might drop and reconsider the decision to play for Zambia. Zambia has showed interest through the call up by the coach and the Minister’s discussion with the boy’s parents, though information about the outcome of the discussion is scanty. The Belgian coach Marc Wilmots even went to watch the boy in action on thursday with the possibility of inviting him for the Belgium National soccer team. For Zambia, I don’t think it should be the end of the story, let the powers that be go to lengths by providing all the three boys with a zambian passport each. The boy can on defenders, dribble, twist, turn, run and shoot and score something that is lacking in some of our so called best players like Chisamba and Kalaba whose game is very inconsistent.

    • Papa, don’t even waste your time, Charly Junior himself has rejected a call up to play for Zambia. So matter what the Zambian government does, it will fall on hard rock. Lets just move on and do with what we have.

  47. Mwentu leave Charly snr and his family alone, the man has said he respect Zambians!Zamfoot please shade more light on the thread @SONG has posted.

  48. I don’t know why people keeps crying about this kid. I was 9 back in 1993 I still remember he’s dad being a bottler, a let down when Zambia needed him the most. Cut off the same cloth no surprise at all. People forget where the from when Europe or other places give them a happy meal. Sellout

  49. Musonda ask your wife to deliver both Zambian passports to the Embassy. The Zambian Embessy when these basakala come to Zambia, arrest and take away their passports, chapwa

  50. I respect every contribution given on this subject both for (the Musondas) and against.
My take on this issue is that I have followed very closely all the articles on this blog and from other sources concerning the lots of calls from us (the FANS) to have the this boy and or his brothers to be called to the National Team. I have also noticed that Ba Lwandamina reads and has started heeding some of the calls being made on most of our posts from this site even though some of us here may not realise. Cases in point: when there were calls to have Chris called back to the team mostly from this site, he listened and did just that, recently when there were calls to have Chisamba included in the preparations for the match against Congo, he has just done that.(Though we are yet to hear of the inclussion of other players). My questions are; Was the coach in order to call Jnr Musonda as his role entails?
Is it a standard procedure for the coach to call a player’s parents first to ask for permission to have their child invited for national duties??
May the house guide me on these two quetions??
In any case, the coach did well to extend the invitation because he listened to fan’s calls and he did his part and he means well. For those who are supporting the familly on this, wether you are in the diaspora or not, remember that the country of your fore-fathers is your only true home, because the soil of this nation keeps your family’s NAME and DNA – Remember where your family name has its ambilical-cord buried.
Having said that, no matter who did and said what while you where here, your children should not be taught to hate their country because of your personal issues, coz when they grow up they may not support your earlier reasoning, and may blame you for diluting their choices in life. Give them all the options and LET THEM DECIDE, LEST THEY BLAME YOU IN FUTURE.
In my view the national team has plenty of options in strikers. We need central midfielders and defenders.
If some parents don’t want to bothered about their children, let us look for those who can accept the invitation, and move forward.
Finally wherever you are, be proud to be Zambian, for me and my familly wherever we are, ZAMBIA COMES FIRST AND WE WILL DO ANYTHING TO SERVE, UPHOLD AND DEFEND IT, because our DNA is belong only to this land. ONE ZAMBIA, ONE NATION, ONE TEAM, CHIPOLOPOLO.

  51. He is Belgiun he has decided, so did Lukaku, Viera, Zidane, Benzima, Johan Jouru the list endless. Let us respect their space though it would have been lovely to see him play for Zambia. By the way there are still two brothers to decide were their loyalty will be.
