A Lusaka based private security company has sued the Football Association of Zambia, FAZ for non-payment over K190, 000.
The named security company has sued FAZ General Secretary George Kasengele in his capacity as the Chief Executive Officer.
According to ZNBC, FAZ has failed to pay for services offered from October 2012 to October 2014.
Reports from Football House indicate that the association is going through financial difficulties and recently failed to send a Junior Womens side to AUCSA regional 5 games in Zimbabwe.
With both the Under-17 and Under-20 qualifying to African Youth Championship as well as the success of the Zambia Womens and Under-20 which qualified to the African Womens Championship and World Youth Championship, there has been a fixture pile up and the success is working against FAZ financially.
Let them wait. They will be sorted out. The FA have had so many junior teams in camps of late. The FA foots all the bills to all logistics for all these campaigns.
Patrick how can you say that. A service has been rendered and Faz needs to pay for it fullstop. Have you ever told your employer or business associates to wait with payments that are due to you after you have provided a service. Its basically poor planning on the th Gs who is CEO. These are administrative issues which should be budgeted for. Why did they secure a Private Firm when they knew they had no money? and if they had no money, they should not have been over ambitious at the expense of other services. Its simple administration, you have to cut off certain things when you know you don’t have the resources. Its like trying to cross the Luangwa river hoping to get to the other side without being attacked by crocodiles or Hippos. Very poor planning.
