Players abroad – Jacob, Sunzu score winning goals as lubambo suffers huge defeat

Zambian players abroad were in action over the weekend with their respective clubs . Jacob Mulenga and Stophila Sunzu netted winning goals for their clubs while Rodrick Kabwe assisted despite ending up on the losing side.

In South Africa, Rodrick Kabwe assisted Ajax Cape town’s in their 3-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns. Goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene was an unused substitute for Sundowns who wrapped up the 2018 PSL title making it seven titles for the Pitso Mosimane tutored side.

Elsewhere, Midfielder Salulani Phiri played the last 16 minutes for Polokwane City who played out to a goalless draw against Free State Stars.

Striker Justin Shonga played the full ninety minute shift for Orlando Pirates who suffered a one nil loss at the hands of Cape Town City.

Augustine Mulenga missed the match after sustaining an injury in training.

In DR Congo, Rainford Kalaba, Nathan Sinkala and Kabaso Chongo all played for TP Mazembe as they played out to a goalless draw against Motema Pembe in a Linafoot encounter.

In Tanzania, Obbrey Chirwa and his Yanga team mates suffered a one nil at the hands of Simba SC at the national stadium .

Lubinda Mundia and his Singinda team mates played out to a one all draw against Mbeya City.

In Morocco, Donashano Malama and his Olympique Khouribga played out to a 1-1 draw with CR Al Hoceima.

In Austria, Enock Mwepu was an unused substitute for Redbull Salzburg who beat their regukar customers SKN St. Pölten 2-0 with goals from Amadou Haidara and Minamino.

Patson Daka is yet to fully recover from his knee discomfort.

In Armenia, Lubambo Musonda put in a full ninety minute shift but was on the end of a four nil bashing as his team Gandzasar Kapan fell to Alashkert.

In Belgium, Emmanuel Banda missed KV Oostende’s 4-1 bashing at the hands of Sint-Truiden due to a knock.

In China, Jacob Mulenga scored the only goal of the game as Liaoning Kaixin beat Yanbian Funde by a lone goal. His third goal of the season. James Chamanga missed out.

In Israel, Defender Emmanuel Mbola played the full ninety minutes for Hapoel Rana’ana who beat Bnei Sakhnin by three goals to one.

Striker Emmanuel Mayuka was left out of the match day squad.

In Portugal, Kenneth Kalunga played the last 20 minutes for Sporting De Esmoriz who managed to get the better of Lusitânia Lourosa in a 7 goal thriller winning 4-3.

Former Zanaco striker Moses Phiri played the last ten minutes for his Sporting Covilhã who lost by a lone goal to Académica.

In Sweden, Striker Edward Chilufya was left out of the Djurgadens IF match day squad who suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Hammarby.

In Russia, Defender Stophila Sunzu scored the winning goal for Arsenal Tula who recorded a two goals to one win over Anzhi. Both Sunzu and Evans Kangwa put in full ninety minute shifts.

In the Fonbet league striker Fashion Sakala played the full ninety minutes for Spartak Moskva II who suffered a one nil loss at the hands of Shinnik.

In the USA, Prosper Chiluya put in a full ninety minute shift for Bethlehem Steel FC who succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Louisville City. Bethlehem have failed to record a win in their last five games.

  1. Awesome for Sunzu and the ever green Jacob Mulenga. Just worried about Mayuka who it seems is really at the end of his rope at such a young age. Hope he can turn it around, but he won’t be able to if he can’t even make it onto the field.

  2. Zambian national football team gone to the dogs. Coach rubbish, dull can’t even read a game. He selectes players on the basis of of who bribes him to be on the team line up.
    And FAZ is also a bunch of dull soccer administrators.
