Zambia international striker Patrick Ngoma has hit the ground running in Egypt and has made two starts for his club in the two week old Egyptian premier league.
Ngoma who moved from Red Arrows two Al Ittihad in August made his debut in his club’s 1 – 0 home win over Aswan FC and was again in action on Saturday against El Entag El Harby as Al Ittihad posted another 1 – 0 to make a 100% start to the season.
The 18 year old played 70 minutes in the game against El Entag El Harby is expected to start again in the game against Al Mokawloon on Saturday after he impressed over the weekend on the right side of attack.
The national team U23 striker who was part of the senior Chipolopolo squad that participated at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations tournament and the CAF U20 Championship is expected to be named in the squad for the CAF U23 Championship to be played at the end of November.
this boy has a bright future
Good for him, he should just make sure that he’s scoring goals regularly coz that’s the only thing that ‘ll increase his commercial value
you are right
Patrick has a good body; short, stocky, and he is strong on the ball. In a nutshell he is suited for a winger and trainable. The other Egyptian club boobed in getting an undernourished, underweight and stunted player.
Slim the same player you’re despising is in Belgium right now.
thanks duncandinho for educating slim..eish..
Chipolopolo Die Hards
Zambian midfielder Fwayo Tembo scored a first half bullet header for Astra in their 4-3 hard fought win over FC Brasov.
The match was a Cupa Romaniei Timisoreana fixture and Astra who thought they had it all wrapped up when the game looked to be ending 3-1 in their favor almost suffered a setback after conceding two quick goals but luckily progressed to the next round after a goal off a rebound in the 119th minute of Extra Time
Ba Zambfoot, you also forgot to report that the goal scored against El Entag El Harby came from Ngoma’s solo effort after he dribble 2 defenders on the right side and muscled himself into penalty box unchallenged by the paperweight egyptian defenders and then laid the ball to a wide open standing striker that had no difficult in directing the ball into the empty net after the keep was also trying to block the pass from Ngoma. You get the picture? The boy doing great, hopefully he stays focused and keep improving.
This are the boys to market at the caf under 23. Kalusha should use that as a platform to market our best boys and qualify for olympics. Big internationals are for guys like fwayo, Mayuka, chisamba, sunzu and all our other big boys.
@Slim naimwe comment ya bwnji? Is that the best you can say about your home boy?
bwanji?
It seems the time of having good strikers has finally come..
I am totally in greement with John. Young well performing players have their platform at ; U23, CHAN, COSAFA etc let’s leave serious competition such as AFCON, Worldcup Qualifiers, high profiled friendlies to tried and tested players like; Sunzu, Mbesuma, Nathan Sinkala, Kalaba etc.
Jacob Mulenga and Fwayo tembo should be back in the team.
I wish patson daka can follow the foot step of this boy.patson daka is also a good he need 2 be nurtued may he try isreal or armenia
The league in egypt is very strong if a player can player week in week out in egypt which means he is improving.the egyptian league is one of the best in africa. Alhily and zamalek have won the caf champion so many times its more competive than some european league
