Orlando Pirates target Chipolopolo defender

Orlando Pirates are reportedly eyeing Chipolopolo defender Tandi Mwape as a replacement for Olisa Nda.

Nda could leave Orlando Pirates at the end of the season hence the Buccaneers looking to the Zambian international.

Soccer Laduma reports the TP Mazembe man is the favourite to replace Nda should he leave the Soweto giants.

“As far as I know, Pirates have been monitoring him and his progress. He is a very good central defender. He is a regular for both club and country and he would fit very well into the Pirates system. I can’t talk much on how and when he would be travelling to South Africa but let’s wait for the off season then we can see what happens after that,” a source revealed to the Siya crew.

The 26-year-old was on the books of Zambia Super League side Kabwe Warriors before his switch to Kamalondo in 2019 in a deal believed to have been worth $45,000.

Mwape is a key member of the Chipolopolo squad and played both matches against Lesotho last month.
