Shumah goal earns Power Dynamos Kitwe bragging rights, NAPSA and Nkwazi record narrow wins….Buffaloes and Mutondo share spoils 

Kenyan international Moses Shumah scored the only goal of the game as Power Dynamos saw off rivals Nkana 1-0 to win the bragging rights to the town of Kitwe. 

Moses Shumah’s 18th League goal of the season, a close range finish in the 52nd minute was the difference.

Idriss Ilunga Mbombo came close and hit the post with a header but Power Dynamos held on to win the match. 

Power Dynamos are now unbeaten in their last 13 league games. Mutapa has also recorded his first derby win as Power Dynamos head coach, Abayellow’s first win against Nkana since 2023. 

Power has now opened a seven point lead at the summit as they move to 58 points. 

At Reiz Arena, a late goal from substitute Kenneth Kasanga helped  NAPSA Stars to a narrow 1-0 win over fellow strugglers FC Leopards. 

The win is the Pensioners first in five league games. The win takes NAPSA Stars to 15th place with  27 points as they leapfrog Mutondo Stars. 

In Kabwe, Nkwazi edged Mines 1-0 thanks to a second half penalty from Billy Balanganai Ntumba. 

The win takes Nkwazi to 14th place with 27 points. 

At Edwin Imboela Stadium, Green Buffaloes played to a 1-1 draw with Mutondo Stars.
