Nkana clear the air over rumors of Mopani quitting financing the club

Zambia Super League side Nkana has dismissed rumors going round that sponsors Mopani Copper Mines has cut ties with the 13 time Super League Champions.

According to a letter by club President, Joseph Silwimba availed to the ZamFoot Crew, Mopani has actually supplemented Nkana FC’s funding for 2020 by giving the Club additional support commencing the month of August 2020 after the Club depleted its allocation for the 2020 financial year middle way.

According to media reports and a letter purported to be from Mopani Copper Mines dated 17th September, The Mopani told the Wusakile based outfit that they will no longer be their principal sponsors.
