Mwiya Malumo joins Radcliffe FC

Former Zambia U-20 national team striker Mwiya Malumo has joined Northern Premier League Premier Division side, Radcliffe Football Club.

The club which plays in the seventh tier of English football league system took to their website to confirm the capture of the 21-year-old.

“Our latest addition to the squad is 21-year-old attacker Mwiya Malumo, simply known as ‘Mo’. He will be looking to keep the opposition defenders on their toes, with his quick feet and his drive, he is an exciting addition to add to our options going forward.

Mo joins the club from Irlam, having previously played for Oldham and Wigan. He played against us in our 3-0 win away at Irlam in June, and after putting in an impressive performance, Lee Fowler didn’t think twice about wanting him at the Neuven Stadium. The lightning-quick attacker will add to the ever-growing threats going forward and will be looking to add to the goals. Here’s what the gaffer had to say about him.”

The lanky forward made his name at Wigan Athletic with their youth team scoring a whopping 25 goals in the 2017/18 season despite a number of frustrating injuries.

The numbers got the attention of the then Zambia U-20 coach Charles Bwale who roped him into his side for the 2018 COSAFA U-20 tournament and was also included in the U-23 squad for the final qualifying round of the 2019 U-23 AFCON against Congo Brazzaville.

  1. Why not consider the young man in Portugal Kalunga?! He is a much better player as far as experience goes. The new Croatian coaches must be given time to know all players with potential for inclusion in the national team.

  2. Seveth tear teyobateya in empty stadia? He should come try his luck with Forest Rangers or buildcon. Than playing in the seventh tear..
