Mwape Musonda nets brace …Action for Mutaya Mwape, Sinkala and Sunzu

Four Zambian players were in action in the last two days with their respective clubs. Mwape Musonda was the only one who was on target as he netted his seventh and eighth goal of the season.

In South Africa, Chipolopolo forward Mwape Musonda scored a brace to help Black Leopards to a 2-1 win over Golden Arrows.

Musonda first leveled matters in the 27th minute, ten minutes after Knox Mutizwa had put Abafana Besthende in the lead both goals from the penalty spot. Musonda scored the winner in the dying minutes with a tap in after Hlongwane’s free-kick had hit the woodwork, giving Lidoda Duvha back-to-back wins in the bio-bubble.

Elsewhere, Chipolopolo goal minder Kennedy Mweene was an unused substitute as ten-man Mamelodi Sundowns played to an entertaining 2-2 draw with The Team of Choice, Maritzburg United.

On Thursday, Defensive midfielder Nathan Sinkala put in an impressive 67-minute shift for Stellenbosch who stunned Cape Town City 1-0 to win back to back games since the return of the ABSA Premier League.

The Stellies have now moved to 9th place on the log with 33 points and just six points adrift of the top six.

In China, Defender Stophila Sunzu put in a full shift for his Shijiazhuang Ever Bright who succumbed to a 1-0 loss to Chongqing Dangdai Lifan in the Chinese Super League.

In the USA, Wing Wizard Mutaya Mwape put in an Impressive 66 minutes for USL League One side Richmond Kickers who recorded their 3rd straight win after they beat New England Revolution II by two goals to one.
