Zambia international striker Chanka Zimba has completed a move to Portuguese third-tier side GD Vitória de Sernache, signing a one-year contract with an option to extend for a further season.
The 24-year-old has joined the Liga 3 Placard outfit as a free agent after leaving Scottish club Inverness Caledonian Thistle, where he enjoyed an impressive 2025-26 campaign.
Zimba has now been unveiled as Vitória de Sernache’s latest signing, with the agreement also understood to include a release clause.
Zimba arrives in Portugal following an impressive spell in Scotland, where he scored 19 goals and provided four assists in 43 appearances across all competitions during the 2025-26 season.
The move presents the Chipolopolo striker with an opportunity to relaunch his career in Portuguese football and build on the goalscoring form he demonstrated in Scotland.
Vitória de Sernache will be hoping his attacking contribution can help strengthen their squad as they compete in Portugal’s third tier.
