Kelvin Kaindu has been named the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Coach of the Month for October 2026, extending his remarkable run of success with Hardrock FC to three consecutive monthly awards.
The Hardrock coach has continued to impress in the club’s debut top-flight campaign, earning his fifth Coach of the Month accolade of the season after previously claiming the awards in April, July, August and September.
It was a memorable double for the newly promoted side, with striker Washington Navaya also named Player of the Month for October.
Kaindu’s latest recognition comes after another impressive month in which Hardrock recorded four victories across all competitions, including three league wins.
The Kasongo Boys defeated Bulawayo Chiefs 2-0, Dynamos 1-0 and MWOS 3-2 in the league to strengthen their position at the top of the standings.
Those results saw Hardrock leapfrog Scottland FC and open up a four-point advantage at the summit with 69 points.
Kaindu’s side have now registered nine consecutive league victories and are closing in on a remarkable title triumph in their first season in Zimbabwe’s top flight.
With two league matches remaining, both Hardrock and Scottland are just one victory away from securing the championship, although the former have the advantage heading into the final stretch.
Hardrock will have the opportunity to seal the title on Saturday when they travel to Wadzanayi Stadium to face Simba Bhora. Victory would crown Kaindu’s men 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions.
Beyond their league ambitions, Hardrock are also enjoying a memorable run in the Chibuku Super Cup. They booked their place in the final after overcoming Hunters 5-3 on penalties, setting up a showdown with Highlanders.
Kaindu’s continued recognition underlines the remarkable impact he has made at Hardrock, with the coach now on the verge of guiding the club to a historic league title in their maiden top-flight campaign.
