The Zambia nation team coach Micho has applauded the the character his boys showed after a win over Botswana. Zambia who dominated much of the proceedings were a goal down right at the end of the opening half but the Chipolopolo responded immediately through Mwepu.
“We lost concentration from that corner kick and conceded a goal totally against the run of play, it was their only attempt as far as I remember in the first half and in critical phase usually when teams are scoring their goal or are conceding it is important to immediately respond. I want to give credit to the players for showing character and responding immediately with Enock’s goals.” Micho said.
He continued, “Football is very funny and unpredictable game I believe we had a wonder first half until we conceded that goal but that goal we conceded came totally against the run of play before that the amount of chances that we created was simply unbelievable. You can not get this amount of chances, we need to be much more clinical to kill the situation.”
But Micho bemoaned how the weather disturbed his game plan, the coach had to adjust to the rainy condition and this is what he said on the adaptation to the rainy conditions, “Our game model and Zambians they don’t just like football they also like good football, football were we are passing not pumping the ball. The weather hugely impacted the quality of game itself, when the rain started it favouring the team that is sitting back and defending and when you have that in mind I believe the weather was not in our favor today.”
Zambia has now 3 points one behind Zimbabwe who were beaten 3-1 by Algeria. Zambia’s next is crucial in determining whether they will be at the Africa cup of nations.

I think we’ve beaten the Zebras 2 if not 3 times in the last 12-18 months. They start well but tire in the 2nd half, so I’m sure we can get all 3 points on Monday.
Ba coach work on football coordination on passes, among local players it is a problem they lack fixed passes, midfilders need to have ability to retain the ball, Although we worn we need to do more please. Ball control also, we no problem with professional footballers like Mwepu, sakala and the like but local guys are my concern

We need the striking force in the first half of all the remaining games to secure ourselves a slot. Coach create competition among strikers. We need goals not ball possession NDAKAKA.
