Mexican analyst finally joins Chipolopolo technical bench

As first reviewed by ZamFoot, Segio Fentanes, the Mexican engaged by FAZ to be part of the Chipolopolo technical bench at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations tournament has joined the team in Equatorial Guinea.

According to a statement from FAZ monitored by the ZamFoot Crew, Fentanes has joined the Zambia national team technical bench as technical analyst which brings the number of foreigners assisting Honor Janza to two after Dutchman Nicol Labohm was appointed assistant to Janza during the qualifiers.

Fentanes’ last stint with the Zambian team was in 2006 when Kalusha Bwalya was Chipolopolo coach at the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt where Zambia were booted out in the first round.

The 43 year old soccer analyst is reported to have been scheduled to join the team in South Africa but only made it in time to watch the Chipolopolo play Congo DR.

He has previously worked for Veracruz, Leon, Atlante, Puebla and other football clubs in Mexico including the Mexican National Team.
