Lusaka Dynamos this afternoon outclassed Nkana beating the record champions 3 – 0 to overtake them on the log thanks to a brace from man of the match Elvis Kataya and a goal from Conrad Luchanga.
Nkana started the brighter of the two sides with good exchange of passes and they had the ball in the back of the net twice in the first 17 minutes only to be ruled offside by the first assistant.
Chasing shadows for most of the first half, Lusaka dynamos had the direct approach to the game and they had the first chance of the game in the 15th minute when Luchanga had one-on-one chance Nkana goal minder Rabson Muchelenganga only to see his weak effort saved by the Nkana goalie.
The direct approach paid off in the 21st minute when a Luka Chamanga, young brother to Chipolopolo China based striker, free kick found Luchanga unmarked after Muchelenganga misjudged the flight of the ball and found himself stranded in no man’s land only for the striker put the ball into an empty net with precision.
Six minutes later, a defence-splitting pass found Elvis Kapaya who took on Nkana’s Maybin Chishimba and the striker showed composure by cutting on his left leaving Chishimba beaten in the box to place the ball into the bottom right hand corner of the net.
Things got worse for Nkana when Joseph Sitali was forced off in the 32nd minute after picking up a knee injury & he was replaced by Austin Muwowo.
Desperate to get a goal back, Nkana were caught off-guard and it was another defence-splitting pass which found Kataya unmarked with the striker shrugging off the last defenders’ challenge leaving with only the goalie to beat before shooting home in the right hand bottom corner of the net in the 38th minute.
In the 2nd half, Beston ‘Quick Silver’ Chambeshi showed his intention by making two quick substitutions bringing on strikers; Josephat Kasusu & Juness Kanda for Ronald Chibwe & Claude Bwalya in the 47th & 51st minute respectively but Dynamos held their nerve to win the match by 3 – 0 despite some near misses which were taken care of by the Dynamos goalie.
Dynamos moved into 7th position on 13 position ahead of Nkana on goal difference.
Elsewhwere, Green Eagles’ nose diving season continued to get worse after they recorded their fourth consecutive loss which has seen them just stay out of the relegation zone on goal difference with 10 points having gone unbeaten in the first six games.
Eagles this time lost 2 – 1 to visiting National Assembly in Choma.

Ba Chambeshi might loose job kaa… Nkana this season seems not to click.
nkana if not careful you are heading to division 1
evans and sate absence. too bad 4 my team nkana. one of best strike partnership ive watched at the club
The news i got from a Nkana executive this evening is that Beston Chambeshi had his last game as Nkana coach today!!this 3 nil loss has costed Chambeshi his Nkana coaching job!!!
am hapy 4 my friend perry beating nkana, the team he suported so much wen we were at school.
This coach Chambeshi should be fined by who ever for refusing to give an after match interview , who the hell does he think he is?moreover he has just taken my team in the doldrums.
We are paying for not elevating and giving a chance to the able assistants in the name of Zeddy Saileti and Gift Kampamba after the demise of Masauso Mwale. This team is a pale shadow of the one coached by the late coach in terms of performance under the tutelage of ba Quicksilver despite acquiring some exiting additions like Djunes Kanda,Josephat Kasusu,Joseph Sitali to mention but a few.I feel something is not adding up and the buck stops with the coach.
Beston Chambeshi should up his game or shown the door before he drives my beloved Nkana to relegation battles.
Truth be told, am a Nkana supporter and (unfortunaltely on the anniversary of the detah of coach Masautso Mwale), Lusaka dynamos was the better side especially in midfield (not as too elaborate as their opponents tried to be)! Congrats to Anif and the LD technical bench for doing the ‘impossible’ with average players so to say.
Reminds me of the days when Anif Adams was still playing for Lsk Dynamos with Seedat and LD beat Kalampa 4-0 at Queesnmead stadium with the late goalminder Evans Mukotoka for Nkana then.
