    • Ask dem, are you not the so-called analyst? Where are they? I am hunting for dem. Lol. Just a light note Mr John. Not meant to ridicule you. Just reminds me of our late leader.

  1. I still don’t agree with the fact we are basically using a full strength squad for this tournament but all the best regardless….I will still toast a beer and sing chipolopolo out loud in recognition of the win on Sunday.

  2. NOT LONG AGO THE COACH WAS TALKING ABOUT THE FUTURE BEING PREPARED. ITS LIKE SOME HAND FROM SOMEWHERE HAS OBSTRUCTED HIS FOCUS.

  3. @Big Steve from SA, allow me to disagree with you, I like the fact that we are using a full strength squad(with mostly the players that will probably play in the upcoming qualifiers and here is why. Maybe the coach felt that trying different player that won’t be used in the Afcon qualifiers won’t be beneficial at this time and using different players before has not helped Zambia in the recent Afcon outings, though some young players were discovered, there was no consistence due to lack of playing together. In short, the coach maybe looking for some much needed wins and cohesion through playing these players together now and Cosafa would help with that. This is what I would regard as an easy fix to the current problems of lack of wins and cohesiveness in the team. This coach should call Kola as John points out considering that he(Kola) is in better form than Mayuka and better than Sate Sate just to add. It also looks like Fwayo is done with the squad because when he was clubless, rightly so, he was ditched from the national team. So we don’t have enough players that have played together in the squad as before when we won the Afcon in 2012.

  5. cosafa is a cup beneath our ligue. we shud get it otherwise i will be embarased. for zambia this is training for afcon qualifiers. janza did well to call strong squad. gives him time to assess. my only worry is this tornament does nothing for souyhern african football as namibia seychelles etc remain minows.

  6. There is very good defensive midfielder playing for the U23 called Sakala! I dont if his first name is Salulani but his last name is Sakala. He started the game when the U23 lost to Nigeria last month. He is stocky, combative, workholic and bossy on the midfield. He was efficient with the ball though not silky. He seems to be more mobile and athletic than Sinkala! He was easily my man of the match. Does anyone else know him? Which club does he play for? That guy needed to be tested on a COSAFA torney. He is easily a Sinkala replacement!!

  7. Fwayo tembo and kola are missing . As long janza is around these players wil never called up for national duty . Lets fire janza and bring a foreign coach . This wil come to an end.

  8. @ Tc soccer man fwayo is now playing in Romania and even scored 2 months ago if you remember he must be brought back into the team. Our team is too light weight

    • John, I know we need all the fire power we can get and Fwayo would be a great addition, but I believe anataka and doesn’t want to play for the national team anymore…Atleast for this coach as he feels like he was used in the qualifies, but was left out of the AFCON. I wish he would come to terms and change his mind, but it doesn’t look good. He’s faulting the coaches for leaving him out, yet he was not fit. Lack of taking responsibility is the issue with him.

  9. Like I said on the other thread, Zambia always lacks quality friendlies and the COSAFA has presented itself with just that. Infact we should have asked to be in the preliminaries, so we get more friendlies.
No matter how insignificant a tournament it is of great benefit if utilized properly.
A word of caution though, Namibia may not be at Zambia’s level, but they have already played 3 games. So they have already checked and corrected their weaknesses. Checked and improved on their strengths, and may hit the road running against us, while we try to adjust, we may be in for a shock. I watched the games Zimbabwe were playing and they were not bad though I missed their game against Namibia.
One thing that may work to our advantage is if Namibia don’t have the stamina to play so many energy sapping games in so short a time.
So let the games begin on Sunday, I will have a cold Windhoek by my side within very easy reach, and a nicely spiced and roasted ichiloli to go with it. SO chipolopolo at full strength don’t let me choke on imyunga, namipapata bane.

  10. ~I think it is a good one that zambia is going into the tournament with a strong team. Zambia need this tournament to bring back the confidence and morale that have gone done thanks to recent results of the national teams in different competition this year.

~A good outing in south africa will go a long way in bringing that back and it will also bring back fans support and trust in this team. Zambia need the perfect atmosphere, morale and confidence in the upcoming qualifiers (olympics and afcon).

  11. Nkana ta boola lelo, 3 zero , 3 goals from 1 player! Some so called soccer fans are jokers! You can’t be winning always, Nkana fans today at sunset poured water on the technical bench demanding Chambeshi to be replaced! I enjoyed the match watching Nkana being humbled,. Adams is coming ! LD! LD! LD!
Hooliganism is still there with some Nkana fans

    • He knows him. Janza’s hands are tight on this one. It’s the powers that be that has a hand in Kola note being called to the national setup. Probably we as soccer fans we need to put pressure for Kola to be called to national team.

  12. Namibia 0 zambia 0, half time. Namibia is competitive, zambia should be careful with the Hooto, jersey 7. I feel our strike force of Mwape and Ndhlovu is blank. Only the left flank were Mukuka Mulenga is operating is effective. Jackson Mwanza out, Allan Mukuka in. This Mwanza shouls never be called to yhe natio al team again together with Jimmy Ndhlovu.
