Luchanga unveiled at Nkoloma… pens a two-year deal

Zambia Super League Champions, Red Arrows have confirmed the acquisition of striker Conlyde Luchanga as earlier reported by the ZamFoot Crew.

Luchanga has penned a two-year deal with the Airmen from parent club FC MUZA.

“Golden Boy Conlyde Luchanga has joined Zambian Champions Red Arrows on a two-year deal from newly promoted Muza Football.”

Luchanga who was on loan at Prison Leopards last season enjoyed excellent form.

Luchanga, 25, ended the 2021/2022 Super League season as Prison Leopards’ leading goalscorer with 10 goals. Luchanga also chipped in with 7 assists.

The 2017 U20 AFCON winner who was playing his first season at Prison Leopards has previously played for Lusaka Dynamos and Forest Rangers. He also had a short stint at Isreali side, Hapoel Raanana.

Luchanga joins the Airmens’ ‘firing squad’ of 2012 AFCON winner James Chamanga, Golden boot winner and player of the year Ricky Banda, Joseph ‘Dongote’ Phiri, Albert Kangwanda, U-17 skipper Joseph Sabobo Banda and the ‘egyptians’ Hope Katwishi.

And Arrows Coach Chisi Mbewe, fresh from scoping the Coach of the year award, is happy with the arrival of Luchanga Nkoloma saying he is a quality young striker who brings diversity to the team and hopes he settles and adapts quickly to contribute positively ahead of an actioned packed season ahead.

Arrows are scheduled to participate in the four Club Tournament that begins tomorrow Friday and later the curtain raise of the MTN Super League, the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield on 13th August 2022 before commencing their title defence seven days later.

  1. Lost cause, at one time everyone had high hopes for this boy. But for no reason he is a rolling stone that will not crystallise into anything!
