  7. We are playing like crap, no good passes and losing the ball easily, we won’t survive this game if we continue to play mediocre style like this.

  8. Congo is dominating in the mid and harassing us in up front. We are not doing too much with our strikers either therefore allowing a lot of DRC build ups. I would be surprised if we win this game. I hope I am wrong.

  9. I see dr congo coming back to the game unless zambian start playing too….YES playing… This is pretty poor from them DRC will keep on knocking, zambia better change there approach bcos I remember what this DrC did to ivory.. coast during qualifier

  10. WE need to fight for the ball and try to keep possession. We are allowing the congolese to play and they have completely taken over the midfield. We are defending too much. We need to fight for the ball and compete and not be cowed. Mayuka also should do more. He should not play with the ref. and wait for the referee to blow and give him advantage. Lets see what we happens in the second half.

    • The coach should maybe push Kondwani in midfield. Drop Nkausu in central defence and maybe introduce another defender on the right back. As the things look, DRC may score soon.

  11. Mweene – has made some crucial saves to keep Zambia in the game but had one silly mistake in the 3rd minute which almost cost Zambia the goal.
Nkausu – Average shift. His end of the pitch has let in more dangerous crosses as he is struggling to keep the DRC attackers at bay.
Mbola – He has tried to cover his space well but at times not showing the aggrssion expected of a defender
Sunzu / Mtonga – Having to put in a lot of effort but have so far stood their ground. Good height helping Zambia win the aerial balls
Sinkala – Has worked hard in the midfield to break down play but not finding the long range pass to release Mayuka
Kalaba – Very good game by the captain. Putting in a good shift to help in defence and has looked brilliant when he has run at his marker. He caused a break down in a dangerous position which almost led to a DRC goal
Singuluma – Not influencing the game enough from the midfield but his 2nd minute effort was brilliant.
Sate Sate / Mayuka – Sate playing deep behind Mayuka. Sate seems lost, Mayuka not holding the ball enough to allow the team to join him up.

Good team performance in keeping the Congolese at bay. Zambia is pressing hard in midfield when they lose the ball but will need to play more as DRC is being allowed a lot of time on the ball.

  12. Though we got that goal our midfield was dead, thus giving drc confidence to attack us at will. Perhaps we will see a deffernt second half. So far we have done well not to let them equalize. We need our style of play back, go zambia go.

  13. Our problem is da midfield we need 2 defensive midfielders otherwize wit 1 we shall struggle hence crack. This is when we miss a player of chansa’s caliber.

  14. No Jacob Mulenga or Chris Katongo to put pressure upfront!Sate, Mayuka play in a pocket, Janza and Kalu are clueless!

  15. We cnt contend for 50-50 balls, Jacob and Collins wud at least be able hold the ball down in Congolese territory!

  16. Poor squad selection, poor tactic by Kalu and Janza coming to haunt us! Fwayo Tembo and Kabaso Chongo wud have definately added value! We need quick inter play in Congolese half not timid powerless shots from afar! Kalu and Janza have no plan!

  17. Kalu cant accept that he himself isnt coaching material. Coaching by proxy doesnt is just as bad as you being on the touchline! The lineup against Brazil was far more effective!

  18. Dont blame Janza, blame Kalu for hand picking Patrice and Janza, so called coaches thta are, lets face it, unemployable outside Zambia, even Patrice admitted the time hasnt come for him to coach a national team but Kalu forced the issue for reasons only known to kalu!

  19. Janza and Kalu! So what are Mukuka Mulenga’s contributions so far! Zambia are wasting time in desperation for a draw! Thats what you get with Kalu!

  20. Why always blaming!!! Check how many players on the congolese team play in big leagues and compare with Zambia. Were you expecting Zambia to win AFCON? Janza is learning to know his players. Give him time. He is Zambian and deserve support. You have given foreigners time and a chance. Do the same. It is ok to make critics, but be fair.

  21. Are these Zambian players tired or just useless? I’ve never seen a Zambian team so dispirited, disorganized and clueless.

  22. Zambia’s line up against Brazil:

    • True that although as usual we want to be singling out some targeted players. The entire team flopped starting with the Skipper except our defence and keeper bar Mbola (whoever said he’s a left back worth being in the national team)

  23. This is what i was telling you people. I can see people are crying. These small boys are not going anywhere. Tunisia will give the small boys a serious hiding! They are going to spank them!

  24. There is no reason to take time off from work to watch this pathetic team. Chris Katongo would have provided the spark this team pathetic needs.

  25. “Coach” Patrice and “Coach” Janza are only employable in Zambia, I wonder why thi$ i$ so, maybe kalu know$!

  26. So, a lot of armchair critics were calling for Renard’s head? After this performance, someone needs to call him to come back.

    • Not with kalu around! When was the last time you heard of a player coming out of the kalu academy? Kalu is just there to reap and that’s why he is fond of getting into positions where he can reap! He uses the national team to rubber stamp his greed abroad and at home, here in Zambia!

  27. We didnt play in this game, we didnt just compete. I am not sure if our players are just tired, weak or have no desire to go forward in this tournament.

  28. Now you know why Renard favored big bodies and used smaller bodies like Felix Katongo as impact players! Felix’s game is more defined than Mukukas.

  29. Kwame its so unfortunate that Gyan and Boye will not play Tomorrow due to illness. But i know the young boys will not disappoint us

  30. No hard feelings, Kwame, your useless DARKEST STARS will be deamed off by senegal believe me.
I have to admit that we were playing a good side and mid fielders went to sleep, even your black stars would have drawn with drc.

  31. the coach is the most useless for ZAMBIA, THE MID WAS POROUS BUT OPT TO REMOVE A STRIKER FOR A STRIKER. IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE SUCKER PUNCH WE COULD HAVE LOST THE GAME.

  32. Why waste tax payers money! let these directionless midgets come home to save us from worse embarrassment. Next game let Kangwa start. I must make mention that the whole team look demotivated!

    • WOOOOW! WOOOW!! WOOOOOOW!!! –WAIT A MINUTE, IS BWALYA GOING TO KILL
THE MIGHTY KALUSHA WITH THE SAME NAME?? —COME ON MEN!! –THIS IS FOOTBALL . Kwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! Kekekekekekekeke!!

      dont do that buddy hahahahahahahahahaha..

  33. what a poor performance. Point wasnt deserved at all. No tactic, no leader, no plan. Zambia was on another level with Renard on the bench.

    • Kalu Logic: words to the effect “the international press are targeting me as an African for sourcing money for Zambia” but what kalu fails to mention is that by sourcing money under the guise of helping young Zambains is stealing from young Zambians, nationals of the “foreign press aren’t the ones you are depriving by your selfish actions!

  34. I blame the coach. Why didn’t he bring in Lubambo for the useless Chisamba who could lose balls aimlessly. Most players didn’t come to the party. We are in trouble. Coach useless.

    • —> @ gb I DONT THINK ITS THE COACH FAULT..REMEMBER THE PROMI BRAZILS PELE,

HE SWEARD HE IS NOT GOING TO BE A COACH COS PLAYERS ARE NOT SOMETIMES CONFIDENTS IN THEMSELFS, WAT A COCH WILL TRAIN THEM WILL NEVER BE PUT ON THE FIELD..
      ITS PLAYERS NOT THE COACH..

  35. And what are some of these pipo who claim to be Ghanaians doing on our site? If I am not mistaken some even monitor Nkhana games. Now what type of Ghanaians are these? They are just pissing some of us in this time of ‘mourning”. Stick your vima noses to your “Black Stars”. Please! I for one will not bother what Ghana is doing unless it is playing Zambia. Stop getting on our nerves.

    • Their we go with you recorded English. Yes the team was poor but not because they are a buch of small boys, Congo is good and has quality players. The players you wanted failed in 2013. So just watch!

  36. This is the most disjointed Zambian side I have seen in years, hope Janza has learnt a thing or two going to the nxt match against Tunisia.
Kangwa is a better option to partner Mayuka upfront than Kampamba .

  37. I think we Zambians, we are too talkative for nothing.we were crying for fresh blood and for a local coach. But here we are sate sate looked intimated, the local coach cant even read the game.
He knew that the midfield was porous instead of bring in Chris Muthali in diffence and move Mtonga in the mid before Sinkala got injured but he brings in Striker.Useless coach.

  38. Don’t worry we can make it; i think de next game de guys will put more effort de gud part is dat we did nt lose other wise we did nt play our game may be our coach does nt want de job.

  39. Unfortunately the inevitable has happened. We are very lucky to get a point from this match because in all truthfulness DRC outplayed us left, right and centre.
We obviously lacked spark, pace and creativity. Some of us who were calling for the likes of Chris K and Jacob M foresaw the fact that our current crop of players lack height and physicality needed at this level. DRC won all the ariel tussles and easily bullied our players especially in the midfield where we lacked experienced heads.
Mweene was a frustrated figure throughout the match because his defense was jittery and unassured most of the time. This was cause because the defense itself was exposed due to a very weak midfield.
Simply put, apart from Mweene, not one Zambian player looked national team material. We played at a snail’s pace even when in possession of the ball. Our lack of quality on the pitch was as clear as our lack of a game plan.

  40. I am watching katongo ck on supersport 4 I think he is the only thing missing in the team.coming to the game hold yo guns dont forget the drc beat ivory coast we where nt playing swaziland we made a mistake by defending to deep after they score we wanted to play iam zambia all the way I want the kay hammers when making to the nxt round to come here with the usual spede a spede story

  41. Guys!!! there was nothing wrong the team, looking at the players, they were just tired, that’s what happened when we played cape verde, Ghana etc. We will beat Tunisia come what may!!!!!

  42. The truth is that players that we have have what it takes to challenge any team in Africa. The only problem is the coach, as much as Renald was not a good coach, we could see a beautiful game coming from chipolopolo. the only problem with our team is lack of a coach who can impart tactics to these players. We have talent but football is a game of creativity and not power or size of the players. We could lose under Renald but the playing was beautiful. JOse mourinho won the champions league with inter not because he had best players but because of tactics, diego simeon won la liga with Athletico not because he has the best players but because of tactics. Our team at the moment is as good as not having the coach. There is no difference between the players who won the AFCON in 2012 and players in this team. With the same strikers we have now, under a good coach they can be very dangerous. The only solution is to get a good coach. From 2004,we have never had a fully qualified coach, they all begin their careers on Zambia.BOnetti was not a very good coach too but he used the wingers to get goals and he was good at that. Renald had a fast and creative system which was solid in the midfield and made it very difficult for other teams to dominate the midfield like what we are seeing under Janza. Let us get a coach with good experience and not coaches who have never coached a national team before. Is Zambia that low such that we can only get coaches without experience ? Only a good coach can build a team and not coaches like Janza even if you give them 5 years.

  43. Even fans can read the game but the coach can not.it is very shameful. Coaching bench is full of useless people and I wonder wether it is worth it to have kalu as faz president.Zambia let us wake up and chase this idiot.

  44. On the look of thingz we r nt goin anywhere coz we’ve been sayin tht 4-2-3-1 is the way 2 go we need 2 defence minded midfielders to cover our defence coz games r won in the midfield. Unfortunately we don’t hv quality players. Plan B wil b munthali nd Sunzu(central defence), malama nd kondwani (holdin mids), kalaba-lubambo-singuluma(attackin mids) mayuka or kangwa (finisher). Maybe we might salvage sumtin othrwize we r BELOW AVERAGE
