Players Abroad; Banda, Prisca on target…Xiomara wins promotion, assists for Ireen Lungu, Katongo, Lushomo, Martha expected in action 

Copper Queens skipper Barbra Banda continued her fine form in front of goal as she scored a brace while Prisca Chilufya opened her goal account for Angel City.

Ireen Lungu set up  a goal while Xiomara Mapepa won promotion to the Saudi Arabia Women’s Premier League.

In China, Ireen Lungu came off the bench to set up the equalizer with a lobbed cross headed home by Zhao Jintong on 83 minutes in Sichuan’s 2-2 draw with Guangxi Pingguo. 

Bwalya Namute Chileshe was a second half substitute for Wuhan in their 2-0 win over Changchun. Wang Shuang and Duan Song  scored the goals. 

Fridah Mukoma was not part of the match day squad for Beijing Jingtan in their huge 4-1 win over Zhejiang. 

Ruth Mukoma was also left out of the match day squad for Shanghai Shengli in their narrow 1-0 win over Shaanxi Chang. 

Elsewhere, Kabange Mupopo started in Liaoning Henbei Hefeng’s 2-0 win over Guangdong. 

In France, Samiah Phiri missed out on Thonon Evian Grand Genève’s 2-1 loss to Saint Malo in the French Seconde Ligue

In Israel, Evarine Susan Katongo and her Hapoel Raanana teammates will be in action this afternoon against Maccabi Hadera. 

In Mexico, Grace Chanda put in a full shift for Querétaro in their 3-0 loss to Santos Laguna. 

In Saudi Arabia; Xiomara Mapepa won promotion to the Saudi Arabia Women’s Premier League with Al Taraji Ladies after winning the Saudi second tier following a 1-1 draw vs Al Hammah on Friday.

In Turkey, Lushomo Mweemba and Martha Tembo are expected to be in action today as Hakkarugucu Spor visit Yüksekova 

In the USA, Copper Queens captain Barbra Banda scored her first brace of the year for Orlando Pride who unfortunately suffered a 3-2 defeat to Racing Louisville in the United States National Women’s Super League. 

The Zambian international has now scored 5 goals in 6 league games and she is the leading scorer in the NWSL.

Prisca Chilufya came off the bench and drilled home a one-timed volley at the right post off a cross from defender Emily Sams to open her goal account in additional time but unfortunately they suffered a 2-1 loss to Portland Thorns. 

Elsewhere, Rachel Kundananji returned from injury which saw her miss the last three games. She came off the bench to play the last 28 minutes.
