Leicester City has made an official bid to Redbull Salzburg for Zambian forward Patson Daka, reports prominent Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
This comes after the reigning English FA Cup Champions failed to complete a deal for 23-year-old French frontman, Odsonne Edouard who has scored 74 goals in 139 appearances for Celtic.
Daka is valued at €22 million currently according to the popular website transfermarkt.
Meanwhile Salzburg’s sister club RB Leipzig is interested in signing the pacy former Power Dynamos striker in the summer and is reportedly prepared to offer him a five-year deal.
Daka has also attracted interest from a handful of other Premier League clubs with Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal all in the hunt to sign Austrian Bundesliga top scorer.
The Zambia international has a contract with the Austrian club until 2024.
The CAF 2017 Young Player of the Year has managed to bang in 34 goals and provided 12 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for Salzburg helping them to a league and cup double.

His next destination must be better in all ways… Better package, growth in terms of football progress so its not just pen to paper. He doesn’t have to go Liverpool to get a good all round deal. Even a so called small team in EPL…it is his growth that matters…hey and of the pay packet! So please let the boy make wise move without being hurried.
