Barbra Banda scores on her birthday

Copper Queens skipper Barbra Banda scored the equalizer as Orlando Pride came from a goal down to settle for a point against Denver Summit.

The Pride went into the match looking to get their first win of the season after a disappointing start to the season losing 2-1 to Seattle Reign.

However it did not start out that way as Melissa Klara Kossler put the visitors in the lead 24 minutes into the match with a fine close range finish.

The Pride came close a number of times but they could not find a way behind Abby Smith who was pulling off fantastic saves.

The birthday girl, Banda leveled matters in the 61st minute rising highest to head home Lizbeth Ovalle’s brilliant cross to level matters.

The Pride tried to find a winner but could not find a way past Smith as the match ended 1-1.

Banda has now scored two goals in two games so far this season.
