Log leaders Green Buffaloes Women, ZANACO Ladies and Green Eagles Women recorded emphatic victories as the ZPL Women’s Super League entered Week 28, while Indeni Roses strengthened their title push and Nkwazi Queens claimed a crucial win in the relegation battle.
Buffaloes strike late to extend lead
At Independence Stadium, Green Buffaloes Women scored three late goals to beat Luyando Foundation Girls 4–1 and register a fifth straight victory.
An own goal by Catherine Hachombolwa put Buffaloes ahead in the 36th minute before Beatrice Chiboka levelled matters with a long-range effort in the 57th minute.
However, the log leaders turned on the power late on as Lydia Shamalima (75’), Natasha Nanyangwe (88’) and Maylan Mulenga (90’) sealed the win to move Buffaloes to 68 points.
ZANACO cruise past Kamfinsa
At Sunset Stadium, ZANACO Ladies thrashed Kamfinsa Blue Eagles Queens 4–0 to maintain fourth place on 59 points.
Justina Zulu opened the scoring in the 10th minute before Regina Chanda doubled the advantage in the 56th minute. Pumulo Lubasi then bagged a brace with goals in the 70th and 80th minutes to complete a dominant performance.
Eagles pile misery on Chipata Girls
Green Eagles Women condemned Chipata Girls to an eleventh consecutive defeat with a 4–0 away win.
Maiwase Square grabbed a first-half brace (12’, 40’), while Cindy Banda added a third in the 28th minute. Esther Mumba rounded off the scoring late in the 86th minute.
Indeni climb into second
At the Cage, Indeni Roses defeated Red Arrows Women 2–0 to move into second place on 64 points.
Rhoda Chileshe broke the deadlock in the 56th minute before Serah Moyo sealed the win eight minutes later in the 64th minute.
Nkwazi win relegation six-pointer
At Edwin Imboela Stadium, Nkwazi Queens edged ZISD Women 1–0 in a crucial relegation clash.
Stacey Gloria Mwelwa scored the decisive goal in the 44th minute, a result that lifts Nkwazi to 15th place on 20 points, leapfrogging ZISD Women and Amazing Grace.
At Nchanga Stadium, Nchanga Rangers Queens and Trident Queens shared the spoils in a 1–1 draw.
Sarrive Badiambila Lobo put the hosts ahead in the 11th minute, but Elizabeth Chishimba rescued a point for Trident with a 74th-minute equaliser.
