Zesco United finally ended their five match winless run as they beat Nchanga Rangers 1-0 in a week 28 MTN Super League encounter.
Abraham Siankombo scored the only goal of the game in the 28th minute to end Zega Mambo’s poor run.
The match resumed at 9h00 after it was postponed yesterday following a heavy downpour. The win takes ZESCO United to 28 points and moves them to 12th place.
In Kitwe, Power Dynamos were held to a 1-1 draw by Leopards.
Moses Shumah put Abayellow in the lead in the 35th minute benefiting from a John Soko cut back. Emmanuel Chabula rescued a point for FC Leopards in the dying minutes.
Abayellow missed a chance to open a six point lead at the summit after Red Arrows’ goalless draw against Nkwazi yesterday.
The draw moves FC Leopards to 21 points as they remain stuck second from bottom on the MTN Super League table.
