Kemuka, Tripple C & Emmanuel Banda axed from Chipolopolo provisional squad

Tanzanian based midfielder Clatous Chama has been left out of the Chipolopolo Boys’ provisional squad.

Zambia coach Moses Sichone has named a 55-member squad on Wednesday.

Sichone has also omitted Zesco United midfielder Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba and Isreal based midfielder Emmanuel Banda.

  1. How do we honestly explain 5 players from MUZA but no place for Aime Mabika, Clatus and Kelvin Kampamba. This is a tragedy and sadly we like to be the architects of our own demise. This has the FAZ president’s name written all over it. I know he wants to expose his players to scouts abroad but he needs to put the interest of the nation first. Send your players to COSAFA, CHAN, etc but not this Afcon. We have been through too much as a nation in terms of football and we need to remove selfish motives that sabotage the team before we even start off. This is a tragedy and it seems we do not learn. The same things we accused others of doing before are the same things we start doing as soon as we get the opportunity. How does Sunzu even make the team when he can’t even run and was exposed by pacy strikers last time? Why are we doing this to ourselves kanshi?

    • I agree. Aime Mabika went through an entire process only to be overlooked over and over again, despite having a pretty stellar debut.

Then these people don’t even have your best performer from CHAN in the provisional squad? How? Kelvin Kampamba played his socks off; if not one of the very few bright spots from that squad.

Then you also leave out Clatus Chama…the guy is probably statistically the best performing foreign based player Zambia has. I will grant that no Zambia coach has been able to bring the best out of Triple C at the national team level which may be the reason behind this decision, but right now Zambia needs performers…and CCC is performing at club level.

Awe mukwai. I will watch, but I have very low expectations of this Zambia side. The FC Muza thing is disheartening; especially if the club is associated with the FAZ President and then suddenly your players start appearing mu national team, this is how corruption and favoritism will continue to be our downfall.

  2. Congratulations couches drop more tired legs avoid useing recycled players, and don’t stat with patson as yo striker but super sub . use the new strikers he has been missing clear chances. Nsiku has energy even sunzu lubambo and kabaso must be dropped. Our group is tough we need fresh talent Morocco and mali have speed, skill and accuracy and are tall.

  3. Sometimes we need to think, how can you leave kampamba and clatus Chama? Especially kampamba he is one of the best and influencial player. How can you get 5 players from MUZA? Lekeni ukwangala , government spends a lot of money to sports elyo mwayamba ukwangala. Kampamba and clatus Chama must be called up,twifwila ishina lya MUZA FC awe twakana

  4. zambia football has really gone to the idiots, i am so upset, you leave kampamba and clatus Chama, the stupid coach left the two players out for SA game, and what happened, we were humiliated

  5. If you watched Green Buffaloes vs FC Muza last Saturday, they you wouldn’t question why they have five players in the provisional squad. So it’s not about links with the FAZ President, it’s about performance. FZ Muza are a well drilled and coached side. I wouldn’t be surprised if they even have more players in the squad. For example Biston Banda the scorer of two goals and Man of the Match on Saturday against GBFC is not even in the team. All the Muza players in the provisional squad deserve to be there.

  6. I watched 3 games from Friday to Sunday. Starting with NAPSA vs Nkhwazi, GBFC vs Muza and lastly Red Arrows vs Zanaco. Out these six teams, Muza FC standout. They played simple, exciting and well coordinated football.
