Newly elected FAZ President Andrew Kamanga has thanked the government for its continued support to football.
And Kamanga has paid tribute to the Kalusha Bwalya executive.
“I wish to thank the government through the patron of FAZ Presisent Edgar Lungu for the support given to our football”,
Kamanga has said at Football House in Lusaka a short while ago during a press briefing.
“I wish to thank the former executive. They did well. Even in our campaigns we acknowledged their achievements. Now we have work to do to develop our football further.”
And Kamanga has urged Zambians to turn out in large numbers to cheer Chipolopolo against Congo Brazaville.
“The fans need to come out in numbers to cheer the team. The team is in good shape and won’t be disrupted by the resignations (of former spokesperson Nkweto Tembwe, team manager Lusekelo Kamwambi and General Secretary George Kasengele). Replacements for the voids have been found.”
“For now let’s concentrate on the two upcoming important matches against Congo. I am glad government has pledged its support for these qualifiers,” the FAZ president said.

@Slim, Exactly my thoughts, Kamanga should not think the plunderers should get a free pass here, anybody that stole needs to be held accountable, so Kamanga should just shut his mouth and let the justice system prevail. He needs to concentrate on making Zambia a powerhouse and not thinking that this is an opportunity him and his buddies to loot from Zambia. Former Faz leadership needs to be investigated thoroughly, “The Kaili yali ni nkongole fye needs to be investigated since FAZ name was used in that saga and Faz is a national association not a FAZ president’s association. Zambia as a country was embarrassed by being associated with nkongole from a corrupt arab individual, so Kalu, as much as we thank him for “some good” did he did while he was Faz president, we should also hold him accountable for the corruptions if proven guilty. Justice stinks, but it is necessary to prevent future culprits.

Some of you people talking too much why can’t you wait for the investigations to finish? If you’re too sure that Kalu and his former Exco members stole money then you should go and arrest them yourselves or provide that (conclusive) evidence to the relevant authorities so that the investigations can be concluded asap.GIVE US A BREAK!

If you have evidence that kalu is a thieve like you are claiming report him to the anti corruption comission and please remember to show evidence.kalu is no longer the faz presdent so let’s stop criticizing him now let’s look at the present not the past
Kamanga had Democratic right. However its also true that he doesn’t interfere with any investigations.
Though the investigators should not go there coz Kalu is gone…. unless there is evidence warranting an investigation.
