The Zambia national team players who are based outside the country have started arriving in the country ahead of this Wednesday’s Gabon 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo Brazaville.
With all the local players already in camp but for the Zesco United duo of Clatous Chama and Jacob Banda, Chipolopolo captain Rainford Kalaba who missed the TP Mazembe’s CAF Champions League game over the weekend has joined camp together with Kabaso Chongo and Nathan Sinkala.
Fazfootball reports that the Congo based players arrived in Ndola about 1330hrs.
South Africa based duo of Collins Mbesuma and Davies Nkausu also joined camp this morning.
The rest of the foreign based players are expected to be in camp in time for tomorrow’s morning training session.
The squad:
Goalkeepers: Kennedy Mweene (Mamelodi Sundowns/RSA), Jacob Banda (Zesco United), Racha Kola (Zanaco);
Defenders: Buchizya Mfune (Green Buffaloes), Stephen Kabamba (Green Buffaloes), Adrian Chama (Green Buffaloes), Davies Nkausu (Free State Stars/RSA), Stoppila Sunzu (Lille/FRANCE), Chongo Kabaso (TP Mazembe/DRC);
Midfielders: Jackson Chirwa (Green Buffaloes), Benson Sakala (Power Dynamos), Spencer Sautu (Green Eagles), Salulani Phiri (Zanaco), Nathan Sinkala (TP Mazembe/DRC), Lubambo Musonda (Gandzasar Kapan/ARMENIA), Isaac Chansa (Zanaco), Christopher Katongo (Green Buffaloes), Rainford Kalaba (TP Mazmbe/DRC), Clatous Chota Chama (Zesco United);

THANKS FOR KAMANGA,
Lets do this zambia
I miss kalu though….
i love the big man great kalu zambian y wi remember
Is Clatous Chama available after the RED cards?
He shouldn’t just play, why use him any loose points at end? No risks we don’t have Kalusha who understand FIFA rules.
Yes.That’s a different competition.
@zamfoot, Any injury update on Evans Kangwa?
Its gud dat kalaba z alrdy in camp,bt late coming also adds to poor performance nd lucy of gud co-odination amngest players!!!!!
Dat idiot shud have called up mayuka..
Ba zim, bullet even if you don’t like the coach no need of insults
you speak like a street kid who never had a home or father figure
Surely, did you have to say that? This is not tumfweko or watchdog..eshi!
Ya pls let’s keep the site decent.just usher opinion without showing us tht u cn insult.
Let’s avoid insults, Mayuka needs to rediscover him form fully.Not like how he missed a lot of chances with Tunisia in Africa cup
@Zim Bullet please tone down.
Hope the boys will put in a lot of work because this Congo Brazzaville team is not a push over.
Mr. Kamanga please lobby “boma” to help in recruiting a good Coach for the team.
I can see now how majority misses the great Kalu….!
Who will be like him
rope in eligible foreign based players such as Ndumba, the chap in Germany and th boy in Spain etc. let thm come for friendlies after the Congo qualifiers! The major stumbling block has been removed. Zambia’s pros, currently, are too few for comfort!
could you name those pros you are referring to?And are they williny to come play for Chipolopolo?Fornow, the current squad is adequete in my opinion
No updates up to now ? Ba zamfoot you have also resigned like former faz officials ?
Any news on Kalengo n Mweene. as well as Chama n Jacob Banda.?
Any News.Are All The Players Summoned In Camp?
Good luck Zambia, its a new beginning, great things lie ahead, Congo will be dancing to Roga Roga during the game. Zambia 4 Congo 1.
Kwena bazamfoot no updates have you tendered your resignation as well? What’s happening in the camp some of us in diaspora we rely on for news
good evening zamfoot?
TheCongo team has not yet arrived in Zambia! Kalengo is in the same predicament
Mayuka is better than all those strikers mark my words.
zamfoot kodhitacithani. theres no news about the situation in the team. CAF as well theg need to reschedule some of games owing to situations in some countries. CAF league games too. they do understans travelling arrangment of African transport networks. this more reason y certain players find if dificult to contribute effectively. no much time to gel.
If this were to be Nigeria or Sudan, shivers would have been written all over this blog. Panic buttons would have been pressed and Yaaba servile would have been running helter-skelter but because it is Congo and not DRC, the tie is done. Remember this people beat Nigeria and Sudan to qualify to the quarter finals ahead of Gabon and Burkina Faso (teams the chipolopolo would fail against at any level)where they gave a splendid performance. I hope Zambia has a game plan for this one else u would be shocked at home.
Ba Zamfoot, it’s like theyz no match about to happen. Kindly shower us with updates so we get in the mood.
zamfoot is just like pf
Is the game even on? Ba zamfoot come on be serious.
Zamfoot crew have all resigned with immediate effect. There is power transition at the moment, that’s why there is no update as far as football is concerned. So remain calm and see how Chipolopolo will battle with Congo. My prediction is Zambia 3-1 Congo.
Whats the latest news on the game to be played today ? Just heard that RTSA has instensified the road patrols .Drive safely and drink after winning .iye chipolopolo zambia balange umupila.
Zambia go, Zambia go!
Chansa is nt energetic,let’s fynd sam1 who cn suit his number!
go Zambia go, we are strongly behind you
every thing has time, no matter how they perfom but time judges or speaks ok!!!!!
