Rainford Kalaba scored the opener for TP Mazembe to help them advance in the CAF Champions League at the expense of Kennedy Mweene’s Mamelodi Sundowns who they beat 3 – 1 to advance with a 3 – 2 aggregate score-line.
Kalaba opened the scored in the 36th minute with Mbwana Samatta and Roger Assale scoring the second and third respectively while Tau scored the consolation for the Brazilians.
Given Singuluma was 59th minute substitue while Kabaso Chongo missed the match due to suspension after he sustained a red card in the first leg which Sundowns won by a goal.
As usual, Kennedy Mweene watched from the bench as Ugandan Denis Onyango continues to be preferred over the Chipolopolo number one.

Too bad for Sundowns but a good results for our boys at mazembe .
How can kennedy Mweene be on the bench shocking indeed. If this Ugandan was truly good he would have appeared in at least 1 afcon by now.
Ummmh ba John, even Ian Rush and Ryan Giggs not forgetting George Weah never really exploded at International stage, simply because they never chose to be born in minnow soccer nations. Wish you’d watched Onyango against Super Eagles whom Uganda beat 1-0 in Nigeria (it was Nigeria Vs Onyango)! Currently Onyango is simply better than Mweene, patriotism aside.
@John, Onyango mukali, he has been an outstanding keeper for Uganda. You remember last they played in Ndola, he was superb.
Mweene needs competion. Infact Sundown has 4 very good keepers, if not mistaken all play for a national team.
Mweene has to work very hard, munyau will soon take over
Zed players are not consistence,it so frustrating to say the least to us football fans.
Mweene’s real age has caught up with him!
i just feel gud for Mazembe,Sundowns coarch talks too much
sad for Zambian teams
Well done Tout Puissant Mazembe.
Good show captain, keep it up
