Striker Owen Mwendabai haunted his former employers Kabwe Warriors when he returned to the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium to wreck havoc and score a late equaliser for Prison Leopards as the two teams drew 1 – 1 in a Kabwe local derby.
Kabwe Warriors led from the first half with a goal from Jacob Phiri but the huge striker struck with 5 minutes to play.
Despite the draw, un-beaten Warriors remain on top of the log as they benefited from second placed Nampundwe’s failure to win away at Matero United.
Warriors have 14 points from 6 games, one better than second-placed Nampundwe, who drew 1-1 with Matero.
In Division 1 North, Kansashi Dynamos have maintained leadership of the log.
Kansanshi, who scored through James Kanyinji, have 14 points, two better than Lumwana Radiants, who beat Chambishi 1-0 in Kalulushi.

Imwe, how old is Owen Mwendabai? That guy has been playing since forever. I guess he is still effective since he is scoring goals.
I am happy for NWP teams. They seem to be doing well.
Time is approaching facst when the FAZ needs to restructure the league into ither provinces or Zones.
Some teams will find themselves travelling very long and costly distances. Imagine Real Nakonde Playing ZESCO Solwezi a distance of over 1,100kms. Will they manage to meet all their league obligations?
