Joslin unmoved with FAZ complaint to CAF

BURUNDI U-20 coach Bipfubusa Joslin has played down any sense of worry from his end after the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) lodged a complaint to CAF over age cheating when Burundi and Zambia faced off in the U-20 Africa Cup of the Nations qualifiers.

FAZ announced yesterday through their official mouthpiece that they have formally written to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) over the Burundi Football Federations decision to use overaged players in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Burundi and Zambia – played on 22nd July 2018 in Ngozi, Burundi.

In an Interview with ZamFoot whether he was worried of punitive measures from CAF, Joslin said there was devoid of any concerns from his end.

Instead he has questioned why the complaint was not lodged in the first leg.

“I have no concern. To me we selected youth players according to their birth document,” he said.

“Why did not you complain after the 1-0 win in Zambia ???”

The demeanour of Burundi U-20 players has sparked a furore with many across Africa calling on CAF to mete out an embargo.

  1. That is the reason why football in Africa fails to develop bwino bwino. A country using over-age players for age restricted competitions may get away with it but it is to the detriment of football development in that particular country.
It is different if you make a mistake once, but with this Burundi Team Ethiopia complained, the other country also complained, now Zambia is complaining. So it can’t be a mistake but a deliberate move.
How do you send ‘madalas’ to go and play na “mabuta mputi”? which changing rooms are they going to use? the same ones their children will be using? tata kalanda we. Simbwa walyusu.

  2. Let’s see who has teeth! CAF / COSAFA?

    HILARIOUS!

To be honest I believe that CAF is definately tooth less [THEY WON’T DO ANYTHING ] and that FAZ are completely incompetent.

Why didn’t they raise the concern either before or after the first game?

FAZ had a representative from CAF within their reach when the game was played in Lusaka. WHY NOT PROTEST BEFORE THE GAME but you wan’t to make noise after the fact!

Let’s just gear up for the next excuse as we face our next defeat at the hands of the Namibians in about six (6) weeks.

  3. A complaint is ussially put up when something negative occirs.can you complain of being robbed before the acttual robbery occurs even if you are sitted next to a known rp robber?

  4. Avoiding the inevitable is a wise thing to do.

Did the coaching staff honestly think the lads would pull it off away from home? Worse still from the so called madalas?

If you are seated next to a known robber. You must act responsibly and avoid being robbed.
