It’s a new beginning – Mayuka

Mayuka on his move to Metz –

“I just signed in France for Metz for three years. I am happy with the move,”

“For me, it’s a new beginning. I had a good time in Southampton but now it’s time for a new chapter in my life. It is another new challenge and I thank God for it,”

  1. Mayuka shouid work hard in france I just hope he will rediscover his form otherwise its a go move for him and a new chapter in deed

  2. Good move indeed and after such a torrid spell at both Saints and Souchax this is a miracle indeed so grab it both hands and give it your best through and through.

I’m happy you didn’t end up in the PSL or TP Mazembe or something like that. There is no doubt about your capabilities and truth be told you have the skill set to be playing in the EPL so this is an opportunity to rediscover the old Mayuka and mesmerize the world again.

  3. Work extra hard young man. This is a very good move. I call it “THE RESURRECTION OF EMMANUEL MAYUKA’S CAREER”. All the best man.

  4. Mayuka’s move to the french ligue2 does not necessary mean that he’ll starting scoring goals as soon as he makes his first touch on the ball neither does it mean that he’ll score in every game he plays but that said we still expect him to pick up his form and improve even further but let’s exercise some patience to let him grow in confidence.

  5. It’s a pity the hopes of the nation seems to on the shoulders of just one player at the moment. What has happened to Zambian players? We used to boast of having a legion of established pros across Europe. How things have changed. Yaba!

  6. This article on Mukuka Mulenga is getting me worried:

Mukuka Mulenga faces an uncertain future after Bloemfontein Celtic turned down thechance to sign him on loan again.

The Zambian midfielder is out of the picture at Sundowns and has not been registered for the season.

He spent last season on loan at Celtic, making 19 appearances and scoring four goals, but club CEO Khumbulani Konco says they signed too many players who fulfill a similar role.

“We did well with our signings this season,” Koncotells KickOff.com. “He [Mulenga] did well for us last season, but it would not have made sense to sign him again when we have other capable players in the same position.”

Mulenga joined Sundowns as a high-profile signing at the start of 2013/14, with Pitso Mosimane signing his praises and calling him “a general and an exceptional player”, but the Zambian has never quite got hischance at Chloorkop.

    • I JUST HATE SUNDOWNS AND PLAYERS MUST NOT JOIN THAT CLUB ESPECIALLY FROM ZAMBIA.GIFT KAMPAMBA HAD A GOOD TIME THERE AND NOT THE OTHER ZAMBIAN PLAYERS.

  7. You love his attitude when he is confident, the boy can ship you left right and center with his eyes closed, and he combined with kalaba like two tiny wizards to beat South Africa in their own backyard chaps were dazed in that game. What are they smoking down there in the PSL to suggest that Mukuka Mulenga cant get a club in PSL. If there is a coach who knows how to resurrect players who are low on confidence down there in SASAFRIKA, Mukuka Mulenga is your good project.

  8. Mayuka good one,and eeeeeee i don’t want to see you with a potbelly; trim and leave it behind and we will toast some goals in France. And buy some some black gloves like the ones you used to wear at Young boys. Boy you used to enjoy some tap ins from the flowing counter attacks in that league. Even at Youth world you where very mobile on the left flank. In the EPL you had no athleticism. U know what to do. Period!

  9. STEVE from RSA I really appreciate yo comments/observations on this blog. The PSL are looking for fully prepared players who can live up to their high standards! And believe u me the PSL has set the bar very high for foreign players in terms of football standards, competitiveness, level of administration and professionalism etc. Coming from a league run by a one-man administration ZPL players need a longer period of orientation.! In short they find it hard to adapt.Factually they need a year or two in Mvela(NFD),to understand the culture in the PSL. This is the challenge Mukuka Mulenga is facing. This is the effect of the Kalusha maladministration. He has no club experience to fall back on. He thinks that by flying into Zambia showing his funny head, once a forty night, and making unsubstantiated pronouncements as to how the game has improved in zambia is how to run an association ;and worse still picking the players for Chipos!. Guys we have had enough! We deserve better.Next year we must usher into office proven administrators such as Hanif Adams. Not chancers.

  10. mayuka is about finished. this is his last chance, he is aging now. he must be thankful despite been a finished player he has been given a chance to finish in peace. reminds me of baloteli who has been given a last chance by milan. i saw this coming in mayuka as far back as 2013

  11. @Slim I have a question for you my brother. You say that and I quote “The PSL are looking for fully prepared players who can live up to their high standards! And believe u me the PSL has set the bar very high for foreign players in terms of football standards, competitiveness, level of administration and professionalism etc”

My question is, are the scouts and whoever is responsible for the recruitment of new players at Sundowns blind? or maybe they don’t exist? Why do I ask this question? It is because, in my view there is no serious professional club on the planet of earth that can sign a player at such a price and level, without first watching/accessing the player and secondly having no plan for him

If the fools at Sundown knew they were not gonna use the boy, why didn’t the idiots put him on sale months ago, or even loan him out. This is not fair for the boy

It is totally stupidity on the part of Sundowns. Very unprofessional behaviour, kwati ni bola yaku mushi sure

  12. Folks at times these teams donot buy these players with the intention of using them as you all know now that football is big business hence to just come and cash in on them especially for every new lad on the block as most of these teams have the cash to splash. So if the player can not make the grade then either get loaned or sold.

  13. LUBAMBO IN, MBOLA, KANGWA DOUBTFUL FOR KENYA CLASH

Armenia based Lubambo Musonda has joined the Chipolopolo camp with the availability of Israel based Emmanuel Mbola and Evans Kangwa looking doubtful.

Musonda who plies his trade with FC Gandzasar Kapan was part of the morning session leaving only two pieces of the puzzle for coach George Lwandamina to have all his call ups in.

The Under-20 captain’s arrival brings the number of the foreign based call ups to 10 with Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba left out for disciplinary reasons according to Football House sources.

Kampamba has been in town since the Zambia Under-23 side played Ivory Coast in an Olympic Games qualifier on August 1 at Nkoloma Stadium.

The official spin around the conspicuous absence of Kampamba is that since he has played five consecutive games for the national team therefore his club is not obliged to release him despite the player being in the country.

Meanwhile the Chipolopolo boys played a practice match against amateur side Circuit City which proved worthwhile mock target practice with a harvest of 8-1 goals.

While there is no need to read too much in the games that saw different sets of players lined up Lwandamina had Kennedy Mweene goal with Stoppilla Sunzu and Aaron Katebe put at the heart of defence while youngsters Boyd Mkandawire and Benedict Chepeshi were preferred on the right and left back positions during the first set.

Three goals for Green Buffaloes’ Friday Samu, a brace each for the ever present Patson Daka and Winston Kalengo while Mbesuma also helped himself to a goal with Circuit City goal coming from Aaron Mwansa.

midfield there was there was Nathan Sinkala and Kondwani while skipper Rainford Kalaba and Lubambo Musonda were deployed in the wings.

Collins Mbesuma was deployed upfront as a lone striker with Chisamba Lungu given a supporting role.

In another central defence partnership tried out there was Christopher Munthali and Buchizya Mfune.

Lwandamina continued to shuffle his cards with all the players eventually having their run.

The final team is expected to be named tomorrow with departure for Nairobi set for Friday.

  14. SUNDOWNS!!!,SUNDOWNS!!!, SUNDOWNS, they almost finished Mweene. He has had to fibht back and is almost getting there.
Sure our Brilliant Mweene, with such intelligence when fully fit ukutuletelela muli COSAFA 2015 of all competitions.

    SUNDOWNS!!!,SUNDOWNS!!!, SUNDOWNS,

  15. Much has been said, another important issue is that our boys need to be taught to double/triple their efforts when given any opportunity. The attitude I normally see in our boys is; football is easier elsewhere than here(Zambia). If I make a mark here then elsewhere it will be porridge!!!
