ZPL Women’s Super League side ZANACO Ladies FC are set to complete the signing of Democratic Republic of Congo goalkeeper Brigitte Ngamita Zulaka, the ZamFoot Crew understands.
The 21-year-old shot-stopper is already in Zambia and is expected to complete the formalities of her move to the Lusaka-based club, with a switch to Sunset Stadium understood to be imminent.
Ngamita arrives with considerable continental experience, having previously featured for Congolese giants TP Mazembe Ladies and represented the Democratic Republic of Congo at both youth and senior international level.
Her arrival would provide ZANACO Ladies with an experienced option between the posts as they look to strengthen their squad for the new campaign.
A goalkeeper forged on the continental stage
Ngamita’s rise to prominence began in 2022, when she joined WCF Mazembe and played a role in a historic campaign.
Mazembe won the UNIFFAC Women’s Championship that year, securing qualification for the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League.
Ngamita subsequently caught the eye during the continental competition, producing an impressive display against Nigerian side Bayelsa Queens, making eight crucial saves in a high-intensity encounter.
Her performances earned further recognition and, later that year, she received her first call-up to the Democratic Republic of Congo senior women’s national team.
The goalkeeper has since continued to establish herself as one of the country’s leading players in her position.
Trophy-winning pedigree
Ngamita’s development has been accompanied by a growing collection of individual and team honours.
While playing for FA M’Sichana, she was named the best goalkeeper in the National Women’s Football League (LINAFF) during the competition’s 16th edition, after helping the side to a 2-0 victory over CSF Bikira of Kinshasa.
She has also twice been recognised as the best goalkeeper in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In 2024, Ngamita helped Mazembe secure another UNIFFAC title before reaching the pinnacle of her club career.

New challenge in Zambia
A move to ZANACO Ladies would represent a new chapter for the 21-year-old goalkeeper, who will be taking her experience from Congolese and continental football into the Zambian women’s game.
Ngamita is understood to be in Zambia to finalise the move, with the completion of the formalities expected to pave the way for her official unveiling.
If completed, the transfer would add further international pedigree to the ZANACO Ladies squad as the club continues to build for the new season.
