Former Chipolopolo defender Hichani Himoonde has signed a two year deal with Zambian glamour side Power Dynamos.
Hichani has been training with the Ndeke based side close to 8 weeks and after impressing head coach Dan Kabwe, the 2012 AFCON winner has been offered a contract.
Since leaving Sundowns earlier this year, Hichani was on the books of Nkwazi and almost a South African second tier side in the just ended transfer window.
HH5 or Kwame as his close friends call has also played for TP Mazembe.
On the local scene, he has featured for Lusaka Dynamos and Zesco United.
While Stopilla Sunzu usually receives plaudits for his performance at the 2012 AFCON, HH5 is one of the unsung heroes in that group.
He joins another AFCON winner Francis Kasonde at the heart of the Power defense and he will also compete for a position in central defense with Billy Mutale and White Mwanambaba.
Kanshi he is still playing football. Hichani could have been a massive part of Zambias future and would probably still be partnering Sunzu if he had stayed at TP Mazembe after AFCON 2012. Good for him, and hopefully good for Power Dynamos
he will be back to the team. Since he left.. there are problems in central defence.

He was supposed to do that after the loan expired with Zesco but he opted to go back to South Africa were he was not considered.Good luck .

For real. I heard very strange news about Hichani. If it’s true, then it’s so sad. Maybe that’s why he is finished. Ifyakwikata ikata guys fibi. Just look at Mbesuma. He seek the face of the Almighty. The rest is history.
This is the guy who had potential to go play in Europe owing to his great physique and height.

If it is true he should run there very fast and accurately.
He will never unseat Khune at Chiefs for the number one spot. It will be exactly the same situation if he goes to Chiefs.
I hope HH can rediscover the form that made him an automatic choice to partner Sunzu back in the day. Not the most intelligent player on the ball but certainly one of the most effective defenders of our time. Lets hope Power can do to him what they have done to Fwayo…..rediscover form.
