Confederation of African, CAF President Patrice Motsepe had revealed that CAF is now giving its Member Associations, including the the Football Association of Zambia $400,000 [K10.8 million] per year meant for infrastructure, football and youth development.
The CAF boss made this statement at a press conference on Monday in Abidjan, Ivory Coast ahead of the AFCON final.
FAZ will also receive $700,000 [K18 million] following Zambia’s third finish in Group F at the CAF 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
It means that Football House will get about $30 million from CAF this year.
Last year, FAZ also received money FIFA for the Copper Queens’ participation at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia/New Zealand.

& yet the infrustracture is yet to improve. Nkoloma stadium keeps gracing us with great memories but it still remains ancient looking.
I hope CAF have the mechanism to monitor infrastructure devpt in member states.
Fortunately the junior teams seem to be developing. I hopefully there is even distribution of resources for talent identification, infrastructure devpt, and equitable + fair allowances for all national teams.
