Zambia has been knocked out of the 2023 TotalEnergies Cote D’Ivoire Africa Cup of Nations following their defeat against Morocco.
The Chipolopolo boys were beaten 1-0 by Morocco ending their 2023 AFCON journey.
Hakim Ziyech scored the only goal of the game in the 37th minute after Zambia Goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga parried off a Achraf Hakimi cross.
They bow out with two points from three matches, two draws and one defeat.
Morocco recorded a total of 19 shots at goal with 7 on target while Zambia had 11 shots with 2 on target.
Morocco finish top of Group F with 7 points with DR Congo grabbing second place with 3 points, Zambia third with points while Tanzania finish bottom with 2 points.

Anyway the guys did there best, Alot of improvement has been showed, we’ve just started to build a team,the coach has changed the Zambian male football,we need to keep him he is an amazing coach,now it’s depend on the #football association of Zambia to act by working together with the coach Avram Grant he is a good and experienced coach,if possible Grant should be given another 2 years from his current contract, you will see how Zambian football Will be

Just bad luck we we were paired against Morocco-even their B team would have difficult.
The goal scored by Morocco was merely their intent to get men into the box and pile on the pressure. Can’t blame keeper or defence.
I think our keeper was outstanding.
The boys weren’t bad at all.
Too bad though, would have loved to see Patson or Fashion or Lameck score.
