FAZ President Andrew Kamanga says the current Administration does not owe the 2012 players who won AFCON in Gabon.
He said it was up to the players to pursue whoever owes them but as far as he was concerned, his executive does not owe them anything.
“No one is owed anything by FAZ. If there is anyone owed, let them pursue whoever owes them. Find better excuses,” retorted Kamanga.
He was responding to the well-meaning letter urging FAZ to do justice and break what may seem a curse on Chipolopolo, by paying the players who won the 2012 AFCON.

The sticking point in Kamanga’s response is the words “if there is anyone owed, let them pursue whoever owes them” which may be a finger of blame to how the previous FAZ Executive may have “chewed” the money meant for AFCON 2012 winners.

If the previous FAZ Executive or some of its individuals are liable, the current administration should look at the bigger picture and just pay the 2012 players.
The well-meaning letter to Kamanga which we published as a guest article, implored the FAZ President not to kick the Cun down the road but to pay the 2012 winners.

Kamanga was urged to do the needful even if it wasn’t him in office at the time as happens to all debts, they are inherited by the successor.

“He said it was up to the players to pursue whoever owes them but as far as he was concerned, his executive does not owe them anything.” Not a good response from the President!
The gist that the guest writer of the article is skating around is the fact that Kalusha and his executive stole, chewed 2012 winning monies and now wants lump the blame on Kamanga and his team. Kalusha is a typical pf thief and should be held accountable. The superstition of a curse on the team is however alot of BS and focus should just be on getting the team stronger moving forward.
Employ local coaches or rather take them for training. A lot of teams at the ongoing afcon have local coaches and doing very well. I want to believe there are local coaches who can do the job for as long as you take credible people. It’s so embarrassing to see Zambia the nation that has been a powerhouse in football on the continent performing just like a nonentity.
Stupidity
