Napsa Stars head coach Mohammed Fathi has rued his teams missed chances in their goalless draw against Lusaka Dynamos.
The Egyptian born gaffer is however still optimistic of his teams’ ambition to qualify for continental football.
“It was a good game but we missed a lot of Chance’s, I think we need to focus more to convert our chances into goals, but coming from a loss to draw is not bad. Like what I said the league is still open and our Target is to qualify for continental tournament in 2020, so we see what’s going to happen next week we have a lot of injuries and they will soon start coming back one by one so I think by next week we will be okay as a team,” Fathi told the ZamFoot Crew
When asked about what’s happening to Napsa Stars over the poor string of results they have recorded in the recent past with only one win to their name in the last six games, Fathi said injuries and failing to take their chances is what coated them.
He is however confident his team can still return to winning ways and do well in the remaining games 14 games.
“Like what I told you we have a lot of injuries and sometimes we didn’t take our chances and I think in the next coming weeks we will start having positive results, we have 14 games to go and we are not far from our Target, so we just need to concentrate and work hard,” he said.
” no it’s different second round I think we have 14 games we played 3 games 1 win, one loss, one draw so it’s just a matter of concentration in the next 14 games, we can come back to the same performance we started the league with.”
Napsa Stars have only managed to pick up five points from a possible 18 but still remain third on the log, just two points adrift of log leaders Nkana.
